Any recommendations for dispensaries and/or strains for pain relief? Specifically, lower-back nerve pain.

I've tried numerous cartridges and edibles over the years. At best, they've gotten me high (which is nice, but not my primary goal) and not added to my pain (examples include ACDC, Harle-Tsu, and Blackberry Kush). At worst, they increase my physical/nerve sensitivity, and in turn increase my pain.

I'll be visiting from Texas, so unfortunately I don't qualify for a medical card or the access/amounts that that would allow.

I use a strain called Mother Goddess and use a cbd and thc lotion. Mother Goddess is low thc and high cbd. It helps my back, knees and hands. Before I started smoking some days I had trouble opening my right hand. I'm now 90% pain free.

look for balms and ointments to apply directly to the area of concern instead of edibles or cartridges.

Agree for pain, I love a thc/cbd cream. Do not know strains of current cream - have had for ages, it's almost empty.
Honestly, for strains - ask the budtender. The dispensaries in different states never seem to have what other states have, OR what is in their online menu ;-) You can research sites like leafly for strains that might work (like, I enjoy purple punch for cramps and it helps with pain when I've been working in the garden) but a budtender working should be able to guide you.

What I like about some of the online sites are the bar graph/pictograms with effects, medical effects, and "negatives" - how hungry will this strain make me? How happy, how sleepy? Is it good for pain, or insomnia?

Strains vary so much - I've tried to research in the past, esp with online menus, but find it's easier to get a decent budtender to help....

I've been using a Nano CBD for 4 months now. It's created in such a way that allows better absorption into the system. It's a liquid. You use a dropper to squirt it under your tongue. Hold it in the mouth for about 60 seconds and it absorbs into your system faster and more effectively than other liquid or edible CBD's that absorb through your stomach / liver. Ultimately this Nano process allows you to get the same results as other cbd products, with a lower dose. There is no THC in the product I use, so you don't get stoned after using it.

With that said, I've had terrible lower back pain for over 20 years due to a disc problem. Most days I was unable to bend down to pick things off the ground. I spent a couple years unable to sleep more than a few hours at a time in bed because of my back pain. I now sleep 7+ hours each night. I also have gout, arthritis, and problems with both knees. I've tried everything and was hooked on oxy codone for a period.

My life and all my physical problems are now 90+% better. I take the Nano CBD twice a day, morning and night. I will use it until the day I die as it works better than anything else I've ever tried for pain and inflamation reduction. And the best part is there are virtually no bad side effects. It's great for a myriad of things other than what I described including anxiety, depression, etc.. It's not an overnight fix. I started seeing major results after about a week of use. After personally seeing the results, I went and bought a 1 year supply. Keep product in a dark / cool place. I keep mine in the fridge. I feel pretty normal again, and that's a huge statement based on what I've been through in the past. You can't put a price on things that improve your quality of life. Good luck on your search for pain relief.

Wow, NnotGillty, it looks like you have had great success with Nano CBD!
Would you mind sharing the brand or company that you purchase it from?
    Thanks!

Well I use a 10:1 CBD to THC vape pin. It relieves inflammation with a slight dose of pain relief in the background that doesn't affect functioning as normal. It is made by the company Dosist (at least the one I use) and is a disposable so no further equipment needed. I'm sure there are other brands around, as I got mine in SF. But that combination works for my back pain and I can use it when I am in the casino. Never had any issues as there is no or very little smell at all (not at the tables, but just walking around or going to RR). The doses are measured as well, so every couple of hours I just take a hit and I am good to go. Allows me to stand for long periods of time at the craps table. FYI, weedmaps.com will hook you up with locations of dispensaries and what they offer.

    Hope that helps.

If you want flower that is easily obtained at Vegas dispensaries I would recommend Sour Diesel (uplifting high that relaxes the muscles... good daytime bud), White Widow (only before bed), and/or Northern Lights (again, probably at the end of the day). All of those should be available in vapes too.

If you are staying on the south end of the strip, I would recommend Essence at the Tropicana location. Short Uber and much shorter lines than the dispensaries near the strip. You can order ahead online and be in/out in about 5 minutes.

I second the CBD cream, works well for my back. Has a light menthol aroma and is amazing
