    My Trip Report

The purpose of this trip was to attend a hockey game at T-Mobile arena so I could see my Golden Knights play in person. My husband is an Islanders fan so when I saw his team was playing in Vegas that was my chance to make this trip happen. Loved the experience at the game even though Vegas lost. We had seat 1 and 2 in row B, section 223 which I bought off Stubhub. I would stay away from aisle seats near the front because our view of the net on the Knights shoot twice side was blocked by a safety railing. You’d be okay towards the middle.

We had a basic resort room at Planet Hollywood with a strip view for the first 3 nights. It was a nice room I’d have no problem staying here again. It was fully comped with no resorts fees thanks to a Diamond match we did at Caesars Windsor last Fall. We had an overlap day so there was no rush to move over to our other hotel, Cosmo for the last 4 nights. I had a One Bedroom Terrace there totally comped no fees. We ended up in the BLVD tower in a newly renovated room. I like the new furniture (especially on the balcony) but the best part is that they finally include a small fridge for personal use. We were on the 30th floor which is lower than I have been before and for the first time I noticed the Bellagio clock tower bells going off each hour starting at 9am! So much for sleeping in! Cosmo is my go to casino I love playing slots there. They had a peel to reveal thing going where you got to scratch a card when you earned a certain amount of points. I ended up with $105 in freeplay!

I was lucky enough to get a reservation at Hell’s Kitchen during the our trip. It was a fantastic experience and we both did the tasting menu with the Beef Wellington. We added a bottle of wine and ended up with a bill of $190. Best part? They accepted both of our $100 Diamond celebration vouchers so it only cost us the tip! Score!

We were also around for the Grand Opening. We struck up a conversation with a guy while they were setting up because of my husband’s Canada Hat. Turns out it was Arthur Smith who has been the executive Producer of Hell’s Kitchen for 14 years. He is originally from Montreal. Great guy. We were able to see the Golden Knights walk the red carpet and the finalists from the show but were so bummed that we had to leave for Cher before Ramsey arrived.

Cher - thanks to MYVEGAS we also had BOGO tickets to Cher. She put on a great show even though I really wasn’t that familiar with all of her music. I thought she looked and sounded great but I did get a little bored with all the waiting for her multiple costume changes.

We got the chance to hit a couple of the Diamond Lounges. Stopped for a drink at Paris and the timing worked out to get hot food at both PH and Caesars on different days. The wings at PH were good but wow Caesars blew us away with ribs, mashed potatoes and veggies it was an actual meal. Wasn’t expecting that. Was worth the 20 minute wait to get in.

The day before we were due to check in at Cosmo I received an email from them offering 2 tickets to see Adam Sandler on Saturday night. Talk about last minute notice but since we had nothing booked for that night I called and reserved the tickets. I was shocked when we went to the box office to pick them up and saw that it was for 11th row seats at $193 each! Score! We really enjoyed the show. He had some other comedians come out first including Rob Schneider. Sandler’s set included a lot of songs which were awesome. He is actually a really good guitar player. One of the highlights was when he did a heart-felt song dedicated to Chris Farley. There was also a surprise when David Spade came out for a song. They were recording the performance so I have to assume it may show up on Netflix sometime.

To further take advantage of some deals I also booked one night at Luxor on an MLIFE offer because it was only going to cost us the resort fee and it came with a $50 resort credit and $30 freeplay. We had no intention of actually sleeping in the room but since we had tickets to Fantasy (MYVEGAS) we were going to be there anyway. The other advantage to doing this is because we had some MYVEGAS rewards that required a stay at an MGM property. I was able to redeem the 2 Aria breakfasts at the MLIFE desk before we had checked in to Luxor by presenting them with the reservation confirmation. Then the next morning before we had been checked out of Luxor we each redeemed a free breakfast buffet at Bellagio by giving them our Luxor room number. Since we didn’t actually eat a meal at Luxor to use the resort credit after the Fantasy show I went to the Backstage Deli and loaded up with $50 worth of bottled water, juices and snacks that we took back to our room at PH.

Last but not least - The Apothecary Shoppe - had to check this out. Looking forward to it becoming legal here in Canada but I don't expect we are going to get dispensaries that look like this place. It was amazing! Tried a disposable vape pen and some gummies. First time with edibles - really enjoyed them.

Thanks for the quick report! The pictures were great, especially the food porn. The remodeled rooms in the Boulevard Tower at Cosmo look good.

Did you actually go see your room at the Luxor? Renovated?

Yes we did go see it. It was a basic pyramid room not remodelled. Needed some work. Was glad we weren't sleeping there.

I had heard the food at Flamingo had improved also & was more like a meal. Was Paris still just wings & a fried item?

When we went to Paris and CP both on Thurs. 1/18, it was wings and some meh steak kabobs at Paris. But it was better than CP. Well I had a nice salad at CP I guess. Lol The meatballs and pasta sucked. Definitely no ribs that night.

    Great report and pics @Marilynfan!

Thanks for the report! We saw Cher some years ago at Caesar's and I was also bored.....seemed she was off the stage more often than on it.
Sounds like you made good use of your multiple comps....way to plan!

Great report with lots of good information! I especially love the pictures of the 2 of you in your respective team jerseys. It must be tough living in Canada being Islanders and Knights fans :p

Didn't make it to Paris during the hot food time. We were there in the afternoon on a Friday.

Ha! Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way about Cher. I was like REALLY? She can't sing 2 songs in a row in the same outfit LOL.

It's tough being an Islanders fan no matter where you live. Islander fans can barely fill half the arena here in Brooklyn. The old Nassau Coliseum was empty for many years, unless the Rangers came to visit. :kill:
