I'm a CET Seven Stars and have my annual retreat trip to Vegas in October. I haven't done any travel by plane until that trip. I'm not going to be able to do another Vegas this year. I have an outstanding $600 credit for trip to Vegas. Has anyone been able to get that changed to comp dollars or Free Play? Me usually great host she can't do it. It seems to me not much of a benefit unless do your retreat somewhere other than Vegas. This is from last year.

Not really relevant, but that's why I consider that perk for Diamond Elite "meaningless" since Las Vegas is the only destination that you can use it for.

I doubt that you can have it converted.

The "Only to Vegas" thing eats a bag of dirty donuts. Last run for me at Diamond Plus and Elite after about a decade and I am about to resurrect my MGM Platinum card staring at Halloween. More nights at MGM props for the second straight trip than El Diablo props.

Vote with your wallet my friends or the scaling back will not cease.

I agree. I see no other benefits for Diamond Elite.
I have a pretty good host she says they won’t let her do it.
If I was a gambler that doesn’t make 7* now every year I would quit after getting to Diamond Plus. then play at a competitor’s casino to get multiple comps.
I have 340,000+ rewards points so I stay with CET.
I made 7* in June so it’s not a big challenge anymore due to all kinds of multipliers etc.

How expensive is the flight? You could use the $600 for this trip and make your annual trip something else and use the 1200 for that.

I think only Vegas residents can get the $600 changed to credits.

You can redirect your Annual Retreat to another CET destination (Cherokee? MidWest? or Biloxi?) and use the $600 Diamond elite flight to Vegas in October.

Agree, have asked about using the DE flight elsewhere with no success.
The strings often attached by CET is another reason I'm playing more at Mlife like @Gaggles.

I went in June and got the 600 in freeplay. Are they not doing that anymore?

I checked with my host and she said her supervisor said that they can’t do it.

    I edited it: I mistyped: it should have read;
    CAN’T DO IT

Making the DE and 7* airfare benefits straight up the full amount in FP would be easier.
Caesars would save on labor to book and process those as it could be programed into the kiosks as an extra offer.

That is what they do now. You have to fly to Vegas to get value from this. That’s no problem for me, it’s a nice additional benefit, which I value as much as $600 cash.

I don't see why not. You have the right to fly to Vegas for a $600 airfare. They can't make you use your annual retreat for this trip. As long as you use it for another trip, you should be able to get $1200 on that trip and then use your $600 for your trip to Vegas. As a seven star player, you have the right to both.

Does your host do the redemption for the 7 stars trip? If yes, just print off a second set of flight receipts and turn them in at the Caesars rewards desk. For the elite free play

Do you get credit for the amount you spent on an Elite/ 7* flight? Or do you get the $600/$1200 respectively? We used to get the full $1200 but now I am being told we only get the cost of the flight reimbursed. Also, in the past, we were able to drive to Las Vegas and get $1200 added to our Rewards Credit.

You get the cost of the fight up to the amount (600/1200)

Not going to state how, but I used my 7* retreat to New Orleans and ALWAYS got reimbursed the entire amount in FP.

    C'mon people, use your imaginations . . . . .

Interesting because when I took a New Orleans 7* trip I had to go to a VIP office where actually checked that was the flight I took. I read a poster here mention he bought a ticket at a higher price then cancelled and bought a ticket at a cheaper fare.
Vegas though they just gave me to he money on the ticket because it’s usually been under $1,200. This time it was higher and I bought travel insurance due to Covid.

@oghuman , is your trip at least a week long? If so, try shortening your 7* trip, then stay somewhere else for 2 days/48 hours (time required in between comp/offers) then use your Diamond Elite trip for the tail end of trip. I've done this before but not intentionally to use both the 7*and DE in one trip or back-to-back. I went first using DE then went to CA for 3 days and then decided to use my 7* right after returning to LV. Also, I drove to LV instead of flying (but still received the "airfare reimbursement"). As others have mentioned already, it's not hard to get the full airfare reimbursement.
