yup saw that on news tonight.... and I don’t think it really applies to Indian casinos they really don’t have to follow any of Michigan gaming board ....

Depends on the particular compact. The IGRA only permits Indian casinos upon agreement with the states. I'm not fluent on the Michigan situation, but while they have more leeway, it's not necessarily a free-for-all.

Well, if the first shutdown was any indication, the Indian casinos shut down with the rest. But, they also opened before the shutdown was lifted. They felt they waited long enough. My guess (and only a guess), they will not shut down, especially if the 3 week hiatus does not last longer.

Nope...up to each N. A. casino whether or not they shut down up here. Soaring Eagle casino will NOT be shutting down (at this point). You can see for yourself on their website.

Little River is closing tomorrow thru 12-9. Thats ok. We are done for the year. Numbers here are way too high to risk hitting any casino. With the holidays here its more important to stay safe.

I notice you currently can't book a room at MGM Grand Detroit until Dec. 22. It looks like they are hedging their bets on the order lasting longer than 3 weeks.

Called Firekeepers a few days ago to cancel a hotel reservation and they said they remain open— both hotel and casino.

Gun Lake Casino outside Grand Rapids is also staying open, but closing their restaurants and most table games, and canceling their giveaways. So pretty much just slot and VP machines open, along with the high limit room.

That is correct...Mrs Idiot and I were going on Thanksgiving and had reservations to their Harvest Buffet (in line and being served version). But, with the stricter rules and no food, we have decided to pass...now I stay home and watch the Lions lose yet again...(sigh).

Once a casino, or anything else gets shut down, it is much harder to get it open again. Folks can make their own guesses, but if you look at the numbers, well.... go for it.
