Wanted to know how the wifi is at delano. Thinking about bringing my roku so the kids can watch netflix, hbogo, etc at night with grandma. Will I be on a constant buffer? I know that wifi is not the speed of my home, but just how slow are we talking about?

I find wifi varies widely depending on where the room is. On a recent stay it worked great in the bathroom, but crappy at the desk.

FYI - on most trips to any hotel, we often just set up one of our phones as a hotspot. We have 30+gb available a month, so just as easy to run through ATT

If you have a roku then I suggest getting Plex. Load it on your home PC/Mac and add the app on Roku, then you have full access to everything on your home "Server"
What I do if I dont have internet access is load a bunch of movies/TV/music and then sync it to plex, you can use a thumb drive if you want. Just plug the thumb drive into the Roku and you are set.

Yeah I got plex. It is awesome, so easy to use. I'll just do that instead. Thanks for the reminder, totally forgot about using it on trip

Wow - can Grandma or kids figure any of this out?
Vs.... just a pay per view on the TV?

Grandma is a FBI investigator. She's a whiz on CPU at a rip age of 62. 10 year old can figure it out if he wants to. We just need to make sure kids have what they need to fall asleep by 10 so mommy and daddy can rack up the ADT!!!!
