This will be a pretty boring trip report. At least if you are looking for a Hurricane Mikey type report. I'm not much of a writer and I'm just trying to give some suggestions and comments for others.

Hotel:

First of all, this was an awesome time to travel to Vegas. There were some really good deals out there. We booked our trip through America West vacations having us stay at the San Remo (cheapest deal at the last minute). I'd stayed at the San Remo many, many years ago and I didn't think it was too bad at the time, but when you have stayed at some of the nicer casino's on the strip, it was pretty bad. I would compare the rooms to that of a nice Motel 6. We only stayed there one night and moved over to the Orleans for only $35/night for our last two nights there. I'm a big fan of The Orleans having lived in Vegas for a short period of time. Friendly dealers, good cocktail service, and low limit tables available. I'd always wanted to stay at the Orleans and was glad that we finally did. I was VERY impressed with the rooms. Not to mention that you get all of the ESPN's on television. I would only suggest that you get a higher numbered room because they are closer to the elevator. We had room 1802 and were the last room at the end of the hall. I felt like I was looking down the hall in the Shining (red rum red rum). Not a major deal though. It is not like we were at the MGM.

Dining:

Ate dinner at Binions Steakhouse one night and thought it was an 8 out of 10. I had the Porterhouse which had a great flavor. Service was a little slow though.

Breakfast Buffet at Green Valley Ranch is highly recommended! Around $14 per person. Large variety and very fresh.

You can't go wrong with the Breakfast Buffet at Paris either. We eat there every trip.

Casino's

Green Valley Ranch is a short drive away from the strip and worth it in my opinion. It is a very nice casino. Only problem I could see there is that they don't have very many tables if you are there at a busy time.

Suncoast Casino is nothing too special in my opinion. Very clean casino.

I'm sure this is nothing new to most of you, but Hard Rock and the Palms have some really attractive dealers. At least I had some eye candy to look at when I was getting my ass kicked most of the trip.

Feel free to ask any questions about these places or throw in your .02...

Thanks,
HardEight

Thanks for the report.
I may have to slide over to the HardRock and play for awhile. I,ve never been to the Hardrock casino. Other than the nice looking dealers how is their place. I don't hear alot of members talk about it.
