Woke up at 12:30 with a MASSIVE hangover and, realizing I still hadn't used my $25 dining credit, called down to the front desk to extend my check-out to 6pm for the extra 25 bones. They said I called just in time, as it is only offered when the hotel is less than 95% capacity.....and it was at 94.8%. Talk about cutting it close!

Anyway, I decided to eat at the cafe. Had a steak (I think it was a 10oz., but I'm not 100% sure on that) with coffee to drink and a mimosa on the side, just for the hell of it. It wasn't fancy, but was quite good as coffee shop fare goes.

After that, I headed to Fashion show mall to finish my Christmas shopping. spent a few hours there, then came back to my room for a shower and to pack up my stuff. Checked out at 6, and went next door to NY-NY to play just a bit more before I had to fly out (the casino at Monte Carlo is quite boring). Played some slots (lost), some VP (won back my slot losses and then some), and finally played a few rolls at the sic-bo table (dropped 10 bones there). At that point, it was almost time to go, so I walked back to MC and caught a cab to McCarran.

This was the quickest, smoothest check-in ever (WestJet airline in terminal 2), and there was no line whatsoever at security. In fact, I chatted for a few minutes with one of the security personnel who asked about my Moto Q, as she was thinking about getting one (I like it way better than my BlackBerry BTW, in case anyone out there is comparing them also).

Got a personal-size cheese pizza and pop from the Pizza Hut outlet ($9, ouch), and waited at the gate for my flight home.

Sorry the wrap up came so long after the trip was done, folks. Hope you enjoyed it, and thanks for reading!

Thanks for the entertaining TR, PokrPlyr. I appreciate that you did it in real time as well as a follow-up. BTW, the cheesecake at Carnegie Deli is great, too!

As far as your nightlife escapades, am I the only one who is a little irritated for you? First, JET, where they wouldn't let you in at 5 minutes after midnight, and then PURE, where there's a long-ass line, but half empty once you got in, and you only got in because you tipped the doorman...
I don't know...I guess I'm just too old. Was it worth it to you, PokrPlyr, i.e. something you would do again? Just curious...

Great trip report. I loved the fact that you updated while you were there. I think I'd agree with your brother, but thought the phone call was hilarious.

Yeah, I'd do it again for sure, it was worth it. Sure it was a disappointment at Jet (even though the passes did specify a midnight expiry, I still think they should have honoured it since it was just past 12 and had been waiting in line for quite a while before that), but that's the way it goes. In retrospect, I should have maybe just paid the cover anyway seeing as I had already come to the front of the line, but hindsight is always 20/20 as they say).

Pure was great though. Really, I don't think it's a "complete" Vegas trip unless I hit up a nightclub/ultralounge for a least 1 of the nights (I'm 25, so that's probably why, haha). Tangerine is my fave by FAR, but I've also checked out Body English (great decor, lots of HOT women), Mix (great view, ridiculously expensive cocktails.....I once shelled out 17 bucks for a drink there  ), Ghostbar (go for the view, but not much else), Drai's (went for after-hours once....nice place), Light (Really nice club, they play a lot of hip-hop if that's your cup of tea), Coyote Ugly (waaaaay overrated), Rain (can't remember many details, lol, but it was fun).

Next time I think I'll try Tryst, Tao, and maybe take another crack at Jet
