    My Trip Report

I will break this report up into comments and categories. Great trip.

Air: Left Cleveland on Sunday 12/16 via Continental. Did'nt think we would make it out. Delayed due to weather 7 hours.
Finally out at after 7 PM. Spent over 9 hours in the airport. Actually got deiced and on the runway for the original 1220PM take off, and had to go back in deplane. Never to happy to finally arrive in Vegas. Albeit at 1130PM instead off 230PM.

Car Rental: 2008 Candy Red PT Cruiser. Prick at the rental counter made up pay an additional 10 bucks a day to add my sister as a driver when she would not be driving, but because she was the one using her card to rent. I know I have done this before at other rental places including Dollar where we rented from this time. He also tried the hard sell on us to sell their insurance to us. I am a licensed Insurance Agent and I informed him of that and that we did not need their insurance due to rental transfer.
He tried to bullshit me by saying every other Insurance Agent bought it. What a liar. Screw him. Between out trip delay and that asshole ripping us off it was an unpleasant start to the trip. One good thing though, we paid thru the nose for a economy car but at least got a free upgrade out in the lot to a nice PT Cruiser when no small cars were available.

Hotels: The Palms was great. Nice one cup coffee maker, white robes provided and USA Today at the door every day.
The Palms is probably the favorite casino of my sister Mary and myself. Especially for Video Poker. Saw Palms owner
George Maloof twice while there. Spent 4 nights at the Palms. Next 2 at the Gold Coast. GC was okay. Like the Orleans,
a long ass walk down the hall to your room! Last 2 nights at the Four Queens. First night in a room overlooking Fremont St.
The constant blaring of music from the Fremont St Experience speakers bothered me all night. Requested a room change the next night to the other tower. Much better. 4 Queens is now our home casino I guess for downtown.

Shows: one show, The Scintas at the Las Vegas Hilton. My 4th time seeing them. Sis's 2nd. Loved them. Great as always.
Nice venue for them at the Hilton. Very intimate.

Movies: 5. I am Legend, okay but not great. No country for old men, wonderful, but the ending perplexed me. Enchanted,
very cute and funny. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, laugh out loud funny! Charlie Wilson's War, even with Julia Roberts
big mouth taking up the whole screen, it was a good flick.

    The Davey Doesmore Paris Mega-Meet:
This was fun, got to see old friends and meet some new ones. Not quite as " Mega " as I was expecting, but it was a good time!
Great people on this board. Pics of meet are posted under VegasPix.

Food: The Bellagio Lunch Buffet was a highlight. Go for the entrees, stay for the desserts. Fantastic food all around. A winner!
Orleans buffet, good. MSS Buffet, okay, but down from the past. The Prime Rib deal at the Cal, awesome as usual. Shrimp Cocktails from the Golden Gate, great. Palms buffet decent for breakfast. South Point had a very nice lunch buffet. GC Monterey Room T-Bone special still fantastic! Meals at the Carson City Cafe in the Golden Nugget were great as is always their bread pudding! Great Steak at Billy Bob's Steakhouse at Sam's town! Dinner at the Grand Lux in the Venetian was grand!
Breakfast at Magnolia's at the 4 Queens was good as was breakfast at Arizona Charlies. Paris Breakfast Buffet was the best as it usually is. I had 2 for 1 coupons for a lot of these places.

Weather: Nice, in the 50's during the day, shirt weather.

My sister's gambling: She does not keep strict track like I do, but she did her usual for the 3rd trip in a row. Losing, losing,
losing, then 4 aces on DB and hot streak at the end to pull around even. She may have won or lost a little, but either way a good comeback. She played roulette for the first time and hit on Black 28, also having had even and black for at nice little
    win of 92 bucks!

My gambling: Football minus 56.80, Horse Racing, plus 2.00, BlackJack minus 110.00, Craps minus 9.00, Roulette, minus 20.00,
Video Poker plus 20.00 for a grand gambling total of minus 171.80
Won 2 out of 3 match plays. Horse racing would have been better but had sucked down a huge yard Daq drink, almost fell down
drunkenly, and by the time I made one bet I forgot which horse and bet the wrong one. Of course the horse I had really wanted to bet won. My sister went OH for the whole nights racing card, but she skipped one race, and...yeah, you got it, the horse she was would have bet in that one would have been her only winner!

Prices: Airfare 250 round trip, Hotels 380 out the door with taxes for 8 nights in Vegas including 4 at the Palms! Gas 30.00 total
    Car Rental around 280 I think, Drinks: 61.84 Food: 252.23 Tips:76.46 Souvenirs:175.31 Newspapers:8.00

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum: Great place! Some very lifelike! Halfprice coupon!

Comments:Had I not made my last foray down for Blackjack and got my usual beatdown this would have been a lot closer
to a break even trip gamblingwise. But I played a fair amount of VP, mostly 10/7 DB and hit 4 Aces once. I was pleased with the overall result for that. Loved the Palms. The week before Xmas is a great time to obtain Hotel Deals. For the first time though,
as we did some stuff, I thought to myself, been there done that, a few times. But I still love Vegas, and believe it gives
