Categorize this as Las Vegas for the Cheap, not frugal.

I may head to vegas with some friends later this year who are finally eligible for the "Young at Heart" etc. clubs. Are there still any deals around that are not just slot multipliers, like actual freebies or discounts that don't require a specific amount of gambling? They might play a little slots or video poker but probably not enough to earn any comps, even with high multipliers.

For example: Once upon a time I think I remember seeing free slot tournaments and discounts at restaurants, movies, etc? Or are those relics of the Way Things Once Were?

Have car, will travel. Off strip is not a problem and is in fact preferred.

Sorry, but because of Covid, I don't have any recent firsthand info to share. However, based on your opening sentence, I feel compelled to say that I suggested "Las Vegas for the Cheap, not frugal" as a new heading years ago. That brilliant suggestion was immediately shot down by Sonya. Personally, I like "cheap" and is often all I can comfortably afford!

Since I turn 50 a few days before my next trip, I’ve been casually investigating this. :hmmm:

Ellis Island has deals for 50+ on Tuesdays and Thursdays, earn 50 points and get something-somethings, and a Free BEER! Normally wouldn’t care but their beer is actually good!

Thanks @carolineno and happy big birthday!

Yes, more of this please. And I am catching up to you quickly.

Anyone know what South Point or Rampart have been offering lately ? They used to be pretty friendly to the wisest among us. (I would check myself if my computer's nanny filter didn't keep me from looking at casino websites. )

Thank you! I will investigate further. I have a feeling Boyd gives us oldies something but not sure what.

I wish the Hard Rock had stayed open - I was really looking forward to getting my “classic rocker” card from there! :headbang:
