If it's just me that's affected, I usually will tell the dealer (unless the dealer is an @$$). If it affects everyone on the table, I usually just leave the chips on there for a little longer and if no one else says anything, I just take it.

I feel if it's not mine I shouldn't keep it, so I make the dealer aware. But you can bet your sweet ... if I should get paid, and they miss it, I let them know that too, in double time. ( as a side note, I try to play head to head (BJ) as much as possible, so on the rare occasions that a payout error happens no one else is usually being affected anyway.)

Taking a Freakonomics-style point of view on this one, consider that by pointing out a dealer error, you are sending a clear message that "I see everything". To a sloppy dealer who would have made an error (which they have already if this is even up for discussion), that is bound to make them nervous to not slip up in front of you, and perhaps make even more errors. If we can assume that there is an equal chance that a player-favouring error will occur relative to that of a dealer-favouring error, you now increase the gross occurrence of total errors - which then gives you more opportunity to a) take advantage of the increased dealer errors that stand to happen, and b) point things out or keep quiet at your discretion for as long as you can keep the dealer shaking.

dealers are humans so yes they make errors like everyone does.....if they make an error in your advantage its cool and be happy about it:nworthy:
the thing is though in my experience that they make many errors in the players disadvantage....dont get mad(most dealers deal multiple games so than its easyer to make an error) just politely point it out to them so they can pay you out/or give your money back. I almost never get mad at a dealer(than you shouldnt gamble i think) in those 50.000 hours i played i think i only got mad a few times when the dealer was keep making those mistakes in my disadvantage and than when pointing out to it also got cocky/snappy saying yeah i saw that(why you took my money than grrr:grrr: )anyways i play tx holdm against dealer and i see so many mistakes and many times the players dont even see it(i always point it out than) if its the other way around just keep my mouth shut as dont worry casinos make alot of money and see this as a comp.....so the answer is yes if they make a mistake in your advantage keep quiet if its the other way around say something about it.....and that bs that the eye sees everything ok they might but for 1 lil mistake by a dealer in your advantage they wont fire him or her

yeah i had it once that a new dealer came to the table , he just had dealed another game..and i think for 20 minutes he just was paying us over and over(even when we tied or lost) the other player and me had a look and even felt embarassed a lil bit but as he was such a nice guy we tipped him heavily(he was nice to us too right:evillaugh ) anyways after 15 or 20 minutes he had it and than only payd us when we actually would have won....nobody noticed and i think everybody was happy (but that happens only i think once in a lifetime and we werent highrollers either so we just won a couple of hundred by that)

The most common situation I notice for dealer errors is at 'Free Bet Blackjack', where they pay the players when the dealer gets 22...but the second-most common is, as vegasnut noted, at the UTH table... for some reason, dealers seem to periodically miss straights or flushes - both for players and with their own hand.
I've "saved" multple players over the years when they had a straight, and both the dealer & they missed it (until I said something). I've actually been tipped $5 by players a few times when that's happened, but I always play the tip for the dealer on the next hand.

I've got an idea to minimize dealer errors on Blackjack. All games should be DD after any two cards. Re-split as many times as you can, and allow DD after split. Surrender allowed. Dealer holds on all 17s. If you have consistency in the game rules, the dealers should have less problems. BTW, 3 to 2 payout on naturals goes without saying.

I had this lady at TI continually give me late-surrenders. I did it as a joke when I drew a 15 against a 10, and she honored it and gave me back half of my bet. I did this probably 6-7 times before the pit boss came over and sternly told me I was not allowed to do that. She was also warned to not allow late surrenders.

Pretty cool while it lasted though. 6-7 hands won't save me any money, but just the idea that I was scamming the casino was pretty cool. Got a power trip out of it for sure.

I was playing baccarat and was up $500, decided it was DEFINATELY player coming up next and I needed to go big. Bet all $500 on player.

Dealer turned over the cards and it was friggin banker!

    I sighed.

Then the dealer started counting out $500 in chips and then puts it out next to my bet, paying me. I glanced at the other player at the table nervously, but we both didn't say anything.

She took her hand off the payment chips for 1 second and then said "wait a minute, banker won." Proceeded to take my whole $500 bet plus the additional $500 she had put out there. I sighed. Wonder if she was screwing with me intentionally lol.

Lol I had an Asian lady do that to me a few times when playing Holdem against dealer. She started yelling at me because I wasn't honest. Usually I'll say something. But when you mess up multiple times and you continue to I stop saying anything because you shouldn't be dealing.

I was playing at Foxwoods one time, and had $50 on a hard 6. It came up soft, and the dealer did not take it down. I, of course, kept quiet. A pair of 3s came up on the very next roll. :) It's not our job as players to inform the staff of mistakes IMO.

Interesting you mention this, but I was playing last year at Foxwoods with another player quarters at BJ and we're sitting playing there and the pit boss comes with a white receipt asking the player next to me to give them back three green chips as she was paid incorrectly eight minutes ago. She gave it back, but was all WTF!
Never expected ever to see that happen.

I'd have told that pit boss "prove it". It's not my job to remember what happened a minute, two minutes, eight minutes, or eight hours ago.

Anyone know if Foxwoods being a native casino makes the enforceability of this sort of thing any different?

The difference between late surrender and early surrender is allowing you to surrender prior to or after the dealer checks for blackjack. Surrender is only on the first two cards, regardless if it is late or early. You invented a new type of surrender my friend. On a similar note, i was at a casino in New York playing spanish. I asked to surrender a hand, the dealer said to me "oo what does that mean you get half back?" i said jokingly "no you get it all back" and she handed me my entire bet back. I did tell her though and she took half the bet, she did look rather annoyed at me though.

Yeah, there's been times when I think the dealer made a mistake paying another player (+ or -), but I don't say anything. But I'll usually say something either way if it's on me. Once playing 3-card at Harrahs in AC, dealer paid me even though I lost. I don't think we liked each other...won't get into why...but I pointed it out and she thanked me profusely saying they check on that and she would have gotten into trouble if they saw it.

Just got back from Vegas and played about 12 hours of pai gow poker over the course of the trip. There was one dealer who occasionally "missed" collecting commission after a win. However every time he forgot to collect the commission I had dealer bet up for him in the fortune bet. [emoji3]
