Don't forget to set those clocks back tonight, folks!

I will be investing my "extra" hour wisely--here on the Board!

Time to catch up on the TRs of some VMB stars! :D
And maybe work on a limerick for the Bad Joke of the Day...

I remember years ago when the Atlantic City casinos closed at 4am, being there when day light savings ended. We thought we'd get another hour to gamble. that they would set the clocks back at 2am. but no. they still closed at 4am. then they set the clocks back and reopened at 6am.

I could see some issues with some computer programs.

Events happen at 1:05, then 1:20, then 1:30, etc.
Then more vents happen in supposedly chronological order at 1:03, 1:20, etc

Or, pit boss enters you starting play at 1:05 and ended at 1:03.

With the exception of this one time a year, it works just fine... but then....

It ended up being an extra hour of sleep instead!

My bride rented "The Purge: Election Year" from Redbox and I was asleep within the first half-hour!

It starred "Juliet" from LOST, but that wasn't enough to keep me awake!

Y2K Paranoia Revisited.

Needs to end forever in CA.

Wouldn't you think that by now we'd be done with this clock flipping. Do we honest-to-god get a benefit from an hour more - or less - of daylight?
We've got that candle making technology down, so ...
Here's an interesting read...

For me, it shouldn't have changed. Stay light until 8pm just means in the summer I leave the A/C on longer. Getting dark by 6pm saves a lot of money.

What needs to end is standard time. Give us that extra sunlight when it is usable, be done with it.

Well it is for kids going to school early. For me that like to ride my bike early. Win/Win! Better for early golfers?

'73-'74. The oil crisis. I was in junior high. Man oh man was it pitch-black dark in the morning getting to school. Plus we were in the PNW so that added to the seemingly nonexistent daytime. (But when we moved up there in June, wow, did I love those bright and long evenings!)

Dude, we just don't agree. Extra daylight by my way of living and thinking is better after work than before.

I remember reading somewhere about a guy who got two DUIs at 2:07
He got the original, was brought in for charges and got mistakenly released, then was caught driving again while still drunk. So two DUIs at the same exact time on the same day lol

We need the sunlight in the mornings...but I still think they should end this.

Not as useful, but to each his own.

I would think a golfer would be the LAST person to ask for more daylight in the evening as opposed to in the morning! Most golfers I know want to play at dawn, and they wish dawn was at 3am.

Guys, not everyone thinks McHarrah's and Ellis Island are the bomb, either. It's OK. Different strokes. I don't give a rip how dark it is or is not in the morning. But being able to jump out at 6 or 7 pm and play 18 or get in a nice ride, that's good shit. Maybe when I'm old, cranky and retired I'll change my tune. But I doubt it.
