I'm going to Vegas this Wednesday through Sunday. People dance in bars right? I want to go out dancing, but I want to avoid the clubs. I want to avoid clubs because I'm not club ready (no club dress, can't walk in heels, body isn't right) but I really want to drink and dance while enjoying my trip.

Please, help a girl out. I never go out these days. In my hometown (Sacramento) we have bars/clubs that are low key.

Thank you!

Thank you both. We're staying at MGM Grand. I'll dance to anything but country. Prefer oldies, hip hop, rap, 90's or typical club dancing music.

I can totally relate to you. I love to go out to socialise and drink and dance, but prefer a bar-dancing over a club.

I hope to find more and better options still (will follow your thread for sure, great topic!), but so far the places already mentioned by the other members are the places I go to too, Carnival Court and piano bars.

Hakkasan is a typical club, including the long lines with cute girls dressed to the teeth on display.

Bond at Cosmo can be hit or miss. Some nights people are chilling with drinks, other nights people are up dancing around the bar. The music is usually a pretty solid mix though.

There's also Eyecandy at Mandalay Bay which is in the middle of the casino. Has a dance floor, usually has a DJ as well. I'm not 100% sure if they charge a cover or not, but it's fairly low key.

I definitely don't want to go to THE place. Not my style, unfortunately. I can't compete.

I'll look into all of your suggestions. Thank you.

not really , unless ur going to the ones with live bands on the weekend like at paris otherwise basicaly no just at nite clubs. ps people dont dance at nite clubs they really just bounce up and down on molly. u should try a club u might like it, some have a few differnt rooms so u can check out deffernt types of music.

i suggest marque or haakasan both have differnt rooms and differnt music otherwise try were there are live bands like paris ballys and other places but they also end early and are hit or miss.

I think my best bet is to look for a live band playing somewhere. Or get drunk enough that I'll dance anywhere I hear music. I googled the Duelling Piano place, and didn't see anyone dancing, just singing.

To the person above, I'm not interested in being around hot young things on Molly.

It's Vegas. I never let there not being a dance floor (or music) keep me from dancing if the mood strikes. And by mood, I mean :drunk:
:wink2:

what about old fat things on molly , u might like margque the have a nice bar up stairs mellow, a hip hop room downstiars too dance and dance by the pool and dance by the main club. keep an open mind

or try rio , paris ballys they all have live bands during the weekends

We were in Vegas last week looking for the exact same thing and the Carnival Court at Harrahs delivered. I can't remember their name but a live band was playing all kinds of music from the 80's, 90's and newer. All of it was fun and everybody had a great time. Drink prices are normal for Vegas, crazy expensive! Another great time is the live entertainment on Fremont Street.

most any of the places that have a free lounge act or free stage, usually have at least a small dance floor area.
