just booked for the last weekend of nfl and college championship game from Dallas --7th back on 11th nonstop both ways for 150$ (actually 100 as I had a 50$ voucher from reduced price in Super Bowl fare when rebooked). If you are in the area go to low fare calendar and check dates.

I arrive early the 8th----hope to get pro bets if time allows, but primarily there for NCAA Champ game---

Turns out just booked wild card play off weekend and college football championship game. Oh well. Haha. Reading a schedule and applying to a calendar is under-rated as to difficulty.

$54 nonstop flights from Vegas to Dallas? You North Texas folks have it made!

Pete... to get that fare ($63 now, on Jan 7), you have to be on the 5:50 PM flight - SWA.
Still - quite a bargain! To put things in perspective, if you book almost any other time, it's $113 going out.
Coming back you can get the $54 fare, but only on the 7AM or 6:30 PM flights.
The rest are all either $93 or $117.

But hey - any round-trip non-stop fare under $250 is a bargain, as far as I'm concerned!

There were several when I did it ...coming back @7:10 am for 53$ going out at 8:10 am for 93.
Interesting on the breakdown its
113.94 airfare
8.56 excise tax
8:00 segment fee
9.00'passenger facility charge
11.20 security September 11 fee
Total 150.70 $'s
Looks like car rental fees....+ +
