    Interesting.
It was kinda dumb because he was more worried about my snacks. He specifically said to remove any food items and I clarified and he was adamant.
That is why I forgot about the liquids because I was so flustered. I had a LOT of snacks y'all.
It took me like three (seemingly hour long) minutes to remove all the strategically packed snacks from my luggage while being horrified that the people behind me would be grumbling.
Thankfully there wasn't much of a line and the security dude was really nice and helped me the best he could but...I had never had them ask for food before.
After getting all my stuff unpacked upon arrival, I know that I didn't remove all of them and my bags didn't get tagged for search. So in the future, I'm just going to pretend like I didn't hear him if I get asked again and they have to pull and search my bags. :p

It doesn't appear to be. I do believe that restaurant is open, but the nightclub part seems to be closed for now.
Thanks for the well wishes on the job front. I'm kind of digging the housewife gig right now (no kids) but I think that will go away as soon as the money does. :haha::haha:

Ha!!! The Palms keeps flashing "NOW HIRING" on the side of their building and every time I see it I'm like: "Hmmmmm...." :haha::haha:

    Good Morning Las Vegas!!

    IMG_2960.JPG IMG_2961.JPG

My original plan this morning was to see if I could book a last minute massage for today or tomorrow but that is not going to happen because the RIO spa doesn't appear to be open. It says the spa and salon are "temporarily closed" but the fitness center is open so I'm going to go see if I can get my very first masked workout in.
It beats watching the RIO parking staff issue parking tickets, which is what I am currently doing while I drink my overpriced coffee (though that is *kind of* entertaining).
Later, I think I will stroll over to Gold Coast this afternoon and see what is shakin'.

Here is the video of my room. I always embed these wrong on my first try so let's see if this works.

That's a pretty decent room. Lots of space, and I do like those full length windows!

Here is a video of the fitness center I took this morning for anyone that is interested. There was no one there when I got there so I took advantage to film a bit. It's small but they have a lot of machines packed in. Not sure how well that works for social distancing, but in the hour I was in there on the treadmill only three or four people came and went and only one other person utilized a treadmill.

Just had Instacart deliver some groceries to the room so I'm going to have a little snack and then in a bit I'm going to head over to Gold Coast to see what's happening and hopefully meet up with @luck.ofthe.draw and @MCann for some Bingo. I haven't played since I was a kid, so this should be interesting.

I love your trip reports CVKelz.

You probably don’t remember me, but we met a few years ago at a slot pull with several VMBers including Mike Pensacola and Lady Fortuna.

I arrive in Vegas on the 13th. Would love to meet up with you and the hubby for a drink. I am staying downtown, but I have a car and could meet anywhere.

    Have a great trip.

    Mike

Fun time tonight. Forced @luck.ofthe.draw and @MCann to slum with me at Gold Coast for some Bingo.
As I said earlier in the report, I hadn't played bingo since I was 18 or so and it might have even been a little younger. That was MANY years ago and things have changed! First of all, you can play on cool electronic devices so you know that I did. Also, they have all these newfangled types of games. Not just getting five in a row anymore!
The session was a little less than an hour if I remember correctly. Luck and I had no wins, but MCann managed to hit a bingo. Of course it was one where 35969741.2 other people also got bingo so I think it was only like a 20 dollar win, but a bingo is a bingo.

    BINGO!!!

    Major handpay!
    IMG_2975.JPG

After that we slotted around a bit at GC...

    IMG_2977.JPG IMG_2978.JPG IMG_2979.JPG

When I mentioned to Luck that I had found an old school Goldfish machine last night over at the Rio, she got very excited and we all headed over there to find and conquer them.
    Well, we found them anyway. :D IMG_2980.JPG IMG_2981.JPG IMG_2982.JPG IMG_2983.JPG IMG_2984.JPG IMG_2985.JPG

After a little while my back was really giving me fits, so I bid them farewell and headed up to the room where I am about to eat some leftover sushi and watch some TV.
Hubs arrives in the wee hours of Friday morning so I'm really trying to adjust my sleep schedule to be a night owl, but I'm so darn sleepy!!!
We'll see if I catch my second wind or not.
If not, I'll catch you guys in the morning!

Nice report. Best thing about tablet bingo is you don't have to mark any of the spots. All you need to do is say "Bingo".

As you may know, there are hundreds of great restaurants a mile north on spring mountain drive, and a lot of them are open after midnight. You don't have to eat in your room if you don't want to. Many of us in the peanut gallery can offer suggestions if you need them.

There are also some middle eastern restaurants a few blocks west on flamingo, within walking distance.

Enjoying this solo part of your trip, that bingo outing with friends looked like fun, I love how you know when to call it a day! I guess I have the same sweet tooth as your husband, I would not be able to pass up those Carlos’ bakery mouthwatering goodies!

Looking forward to the rest :wiggle:

Sounds good, if I don't PM you by the time you get here, please PM me. As you can tell by me answering this just now, I get a little distracted in Vegas. :kill:

I lost more than I care to mention this afternoon/tonight. For sure more than my daily budget, so I'm putting myself down for a nap. The hubs should be here around one or two in the morning and I know myself better than to think that staying up til then and being able to function at all will be any kind of option.
Here's hoping for a nice nap to make the time til he gets here go by fast!
