Bummer re Big Elvis.
Frozen Baileys is good stuff. My wife just loves it!
Too bad that Elvis has left the building today... Hope you enjoy the rat pack!
So I think we're going to take a lyft to the Tuscany for the Rat Pack show even though it's right behind us. It's like a 20 minute walk all the way around Paris and Bally's and I don't feel like arriving there sweaty from walking. I feel lazy as shit though.I do have free ride on lyft though so at least I'm not paying. Maybe we'll walk on the way back.
I saw the rat pack show and it's very entertaining. I loved it
Yep. The Rat Pack show was amazing. They are all so talented, it's ridiculous.
Glad we took a lyft there and back after all. I wouldn't have wanted to walk it, laziness aside.
Here are some pictures!
They still comp you the frozen baileys with that bet? Inquiring minds want to know.
Both my gf and I have min coin straight flushes, and I want to say both were dealt at Gustav's. But this was in an era before taking pics or "light systems" were a thing. Lol
They did not, but we ordered them as soon as we sat down. We were putting money in the machines while we ordered, but hadn't played yet. When I was playing there a little over a year ago I got them comped, but had been playing for a while and it was like 1am.
Playing max bet will turn the light green without much trouble. Playing min bet, you would have to play like this guy to meet the coin-in requirement.
And if the light never turns green because you bet less than a $1 a round (but always bet max quarters generally vs. 4), you were sunk anyway.
After the Rat Pack show we went and ate at Peppermill. It was excellent. I had crab cakes and chicken noodle soup. My wife had a huge burger and onion rings.
Came back to Planet Hollywood and hit the casino. Won $100 on $5 min bubble craps. Then I turned around and pissed it away on slots.
Time for bed now.
They're a healthier bunch of guys!! Honestly, can't say the same for "Big" Elvis.
Really enjoying your report. I love PH as well. Great hotel and location. And plenty of places to eat in the MM Shops. Plus the ABC store is right there for water, snacks, etc.
Yeah, I really hope he just had a cold or something and it wasn't anything major. He's at a better weight than he used to be though so that's awesome.
Love the hotel and casino but the games haven't been good to us here. We walked around Paris and my wife is in love with that hotel so I guess we'll be trying there next time. I'm planning a bachelor party for early next year that might end up in Vegas and I think PH would be great for that. Next solo trip I'm definitely staying downtown for the majority of it so I can gamble more.
"Where were you last time? I ate 23 pairs. I was this close to working at the 7-11"
Today was hanging out with @Nordlicht. We ate lunch at 4 Queens Chicago Brewing. The food, beer and root beer was really good. My wife had a touch of her stomach issues after lunch so she headed back to our hotel and we played bubble craps at 4 Queens. I was almost out my $100 buy in, but then I hit a 24 roll heater and made all my money back. So that worked out in the end. My luck downtown continues to be better. After craps we hung out at Binions outside bar for drinks, cigars and great conversation.
At 4 I had to head back to my hotel to get ready for our dinner reservation at Golden Steer. Luckily my wife was feeling better and had gone to get her hair done.
Dinner was amazing. The staff were amazing. We had a booth and both had the 8oz fillet. I got mine with crab legs and my wife with shrimp scampi. We also did the tableside Caesar salad. The place really lived up to the hype and it was cool to walk in the footsteps of the Rat Pack and so many other celebrities for a bit. We need to go back for the bananas foster. We were just too full for dessert.
We stopped by Planet 13 on the way back to restock on the essentials and because some friends said it was pretty cool inside. That it is. Prices were tourist prices, but selection was good. I'd recommend stopping in once just to see it, but going elsewhere on the regular.
Not sure what we're doing the rest of the night. Probably hit the casino here one last time before we move downtown in the morning.
Glad to hear your wife is feeling better now! Hope she will be in for some drinks and smoke tomorrow!
Gambling in Planet Hollywood didn't go well again. We were back in the room by 11pm. My wife wanted to eat nachos from Nacho Daddy and go to sleep so that's what she did. I wanted to check out a strip club so she said go have fun.
Called Spearmint Rhino and had a van pick me up. Spent about 3 hours there and had a blast. Threw some money around, met some cool people and drank too much. Saw a dude get escorted away by security after he layed on the stage. I liked the club. The women weren't too pushy and were willing to just sit and bullshit which is what I like to do. I largely go to strip clubs for people watching and meeting interesting folks and Spearmint Rhino didn't disappoint.
It's 3:45 so time for bed. Moving downtown in the morning.
@Imaginos great TR... love the details, glad to hear wifey feels better.. I always go w wife as well and we always end up having awesome time.. hey did you try playing baccarat yet? You mentioned you might give it a shot.. it’s my game I only play that... it’s simplest game on at casino like playing rock, paper scissors... good luck btw it’s best way to get your money back from slots (lol) but gotta win the money back in just one or two bet. Don’t play it for long time you know what happens ... hopefully all games work out and following your TR
Sounds like you had a blast last night. Well played!
Have a smooth move to QQQQ today and enjoy the concert tonight.
Yes, Glad to see someone else commenting on the Chicago Brewing root beer. Theirs is the best tasting that I've ever had. It puts the Ellis Island's version to shame!
I concur. I don't drink a lot of root beer, but QQQQ is definitely the best I've had. I also like EI's a lot.
Great report @Nordlicht!
