Arizona Charlies Decatur has a separate fully enclosed large non smoking area. I do admit ACD is smoky, but the VP and mailers are very good.

I was at the Boars Head bar at MSS on Friday night with a couple of friends at 10pm. It was completely dead. We all got a seat and played a little vp.
We only stayed for one beer and didn`t talk to the bartenders regarding downturn in business due to vp reduction in points. We stayed at the Orleans
and there were always seats at the bar except the weekend front bar was busy when the band was playing. Orleans was packed by the way.
I do think there is some short term effect on savvy vp players.

I stayed at MSS Wednesday thru Sunday last week and never had trouble finding a seat at the bar day or night. Could usually even find 2 seats together. That’s not normally the case.
Busiest day IMO was Wednesday for YAH.
Saturday night the great majority of the people sitting at the bar were not playing VP. They were just drinking and watching the games on TV.

I'm not sure if the bartender's assessment working 5 shifts a week counts as a statically relevant sample but what do I know. lol. A little too early, in my dumb opinion to determine the impact.

Had staycation booked over Thanksgiving at Orleans as we are going to the basketball tournament there. Switched the nights to Paris and we will just go for the games. Boyds really hurt themselves especially when Stations is putting a lot of money into upgrades at Palace Station and the Palms. Wrong move at the wrong time.

Stayed at Sam's Town Tuesday night. Arrived around 4pm, left Wednesday around 9am. Did not notice a decline in how busy the casino was for a weekday night. The room updates are nice, they even spifft up the main set of elevators. There was a tiny coffeemaker in our room, not a Keurig, with two packs of coffee. Did notice the breakfast buffer price has jumped, $7.99 think it used to be $5.99. I'm not a fan of the buffet, but could manage breakfast because I knew what to eat there. Plan now is to stay with Boyd till they take away my free nights. I'm Sapphire with a fairly limited budget, $100-$200 per day. 50% VP, 50% penny slots. We shall see.
