As I was looking at hotel options for my trip in May, I noticed that, for the first time I can recall, the Cromwell was showing up as comped on my CET calendar. I decided to book it. Have been trying to stay at all the Caesars properties but the Cromwell was always rather expensive. Anyway, I had a couple of questions. Seems as though the biggest complaint people have is the noise from the nightclub on the roof. Is it that bad and what floor or floors should I request at check in to avoid it as much as possible? I see that there is free coffee available on a couple of the floors. Are there any cold beverages as well? I like my morning coffee but something cold would be good later in the day. I also noticed in some room videos that there is a mini-bar fridge in the room but it didn't seem to be using one of those sensors. Looked like maybe a person could fit a cold beverages or two of your own inside. Possible? Finally, do you need reservations far in advance for Giada? Figured if I was staying there, I might as well try it once. Thanks in advance for your help!

Cromwell is my favorite, but there are others a little more versed than myself. Ask for a quiet room. Ear plugs are available for free from the front desk, just ask them for a set. I usually end up with a "strip view" but the views are really not that great. I've never had any issues with the club noise, but can hear the strip traffic as well as the preacher on the corner.

The coffee machine is a preset button selection type of espresso machine, but only hot drinks. I prefer the double shot then add a mocha on top of that. The mini fridge doesn't have sensors and there is plenty of room to fill it up with your own goodies. I haven't been to Giada's yet, but I did walk right past her over the bridge from Caesars. I'm assuming she drives the nice little porsche with Giada (or something similar) on the license plate that was parked in the Caesars valet.

I just started staying at the Cromwell more often. Very nice feeling and more intimate there. Check in is nice and they’re very personable. They have a great happy hour with dollar martinis of grey goose or ciroc. The band is good for that as well. I think the coffee is very good with a good selection. I usually stay on the 7th floor and there’s a coffee maker right at the elevator. If you were looking at rooms then the “deluxe“ means it is a non strip view and the “luxury“ means it is a strip you. I have never had an issue with noise but I am typically there more during the week not on weekends. If you would like to not have housekeeping then they will give you a $10 credit to use for food or drinks. You just charge it to the room and they will take it off. I usually just get a sandwich at Eatwell. The fitness center is tucked right behind the check-in area and is very small but I have never seen anyone in it. Location is awesome and literally right on the strip so no long walks needed. I have eaten at Giadas once and it is pretty good with nice views of the strip. Good luck and let me know how you like it.

Look out for the corner of the bed in the room, no bumpers on it and I kept running into the bed as the room is very dark. I actually cut my leg the morning I was leaving and told the lady at the front desk. They really could careless and just wanted to know if I wanted to file a report, which I did not. I just wanted to let them know so they could fix the problem for other guests, but they did not seem to care. Also, do not move anything in the mini bar of toiletries as they will charge you. I was charged $100 for moving items that were moved and not used. I wont go back!! I go to Vegas 3 to 5 times a year and prefer to go where you are valued at a guest. I have also been to Giada's a few times, it is ok but not impressive. Good luck!

I have always had the opposite experience. One trip I forgot they don’t have usb outlets to plug in my phone charger and the lady at the front desk gave me her personal charger and said to just bring it back when I checked out. Can’t get much nicer than that for service! Even the security guard at the elevators asked me if I needed anything on several occasions.

I hate mini-bars. they are a trap. if I end up in a room that has one, I take pictures at check-in, once a day, and at check-out.

This is in a separate area, definitely not a fridge. However, there is a fridge and a mini-bar of drink choices also in the room.

There is a little make up area by the bathroom. It has an out of the way shelf that with a placard that clearly marks that items are pay to use. As Loulou stated if you move a bunch of stuff around on the shelves they are likely going to think you used it.

As for the hotel I love that check in is quick, the rooms are modern and the staff are good. You can be from your room and on the boulevard in a couple minutes, which is a big plus for me. I also enjoy gambling at the casino.

I have had one bad experience there. I went to check out and had $250 worth of charges from Bound on there. Found out when it was and told the staff we were at a show. The clerk asked me if maybe I had drank too much and forgot etc. I showed him the tickets (my Vegas comps) with my name and showtimes on them, plus pictures throughout the show. He just shrugged and stated it would go to the billing investigation team. I talked to a manager who although would not remove the charges, as their policy is to let the billing team decide, he did take pictures of my tickets and had me email him the pictures to send to them. I also called Total Rewards customer service when I got home and they had it dealt with in a few hours.

small tube of toothpaste $10, small bottle mouthwash $10, toothbrush $10, etc. Talk about nickel and dime-ing you to death! It's not like those rooms are cheap! I always marvel at how cheap hotels/motels provide free WiFi, expensive "high class" hotels charge you anywhere from $15-$40 for the same thing! Hmmmm..........

Yes the area where this is all kept is separate and there was no sign when I checked in the room. The maid actually knocked on my door after I had checked in and said she had to check on items from the previous guest in the room, so they apparently did not complete inventory in the room before I checked in. I moved every item on the shelves because it was a great place to put the hair dryer when not in use. I learned a lesson always take a picture when I check in and when I leave!!! I had a few other customer service issues during my stay.... wont go back. You should be so lucky you had such good records and had the charged removed. But doesn't make you wonder if they were trying to slide one by you??? Crumbwell is shady!!!!!

Why don't they just replace mini bars with empty mini fridges? They can't possibly be making that much profit on them- I don't know a single person who buys the stuff.o_O

You think an empty mini fridge makes money?
Or you think CET is a charity organization?

No I don't think an empty one makes money. I just don't think a full one makes much either, and it annoys people.
