On The Orleans site the cafe was listed as being renovated since Oct of 2016. A temp one was down next to the buffet.
Now on their site it is not listed at all. Always enjoyed the inexpensive prime rib there.
    Anyone know what happened?

Not sure. It was supposed to be done right about now. I don't know if they were changing the name, too, but I am assuming they are updating the site either way.

I noticed that today, too. Previously, the site stated a new cafe was opening. I think it might just be an omission on their part.

I would actually consider not staying there anymore, as we eat most meals in the cafe.

Do I smell yet another TGIF in the works here? (I REALLY hope I'm wrong on this!)

I read somewhere that there is a NEW 24-hr restaurant coming soon.
I, for one, never liked the Cafe....poor service, poor food.

They are definitely working on a 24 hour cafe. But the menu at the temp location was limited so they need to put up a new one and of course there are new photos to put up. Let's wait a couple days and see if they update the website with the new cafe before anyone panics.

When we were there in November, we talked to one of the servers we are familiar with and he said that they will be opening back up sometime soon. The server, David, has been working there for a number of years and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about the new digs. Pretty sure it is going to be a similar concept to what it was. We also never had any issues as far as the service or food quality.

Rebranded as the Copper Whisk, will hold judgment till I try it, but if it's like Balliwicks, I'm gonna be disappointed.

Yes I noticed the name change online also. What are the Aloha dinning coupons?
On their menu, there is no prime rib.
I guess the courtyard cafe really took away from their Prime Rib Loft.
I too never had a service issue. Always good food at a understandable price. Not now.

Aloha Coupons come with the Hawaiians on their charters through Boyds. Plus other players get them with their offers. 12 coupons for 4 each of breakfast, lunch and dinner, but limited choices (palm trees)

My friend went to the new cafe with friends ( they are all locals) the other night. They said the menu is smaller, the prices higher and the food nothing special. They were very disappointed because they loved the old cafe. They said they will not be going back.

I see some price inflation but it's still cheaper than strip coffee shops. I found the service and food so- so at Courtyard. For those prices, they both need to improve. I like cafe's more for breakfast and I would rather hop in my car and hit a local restaurant if the food is the same.

Thanks eaglejohn. I was never sure of that.
It's just like Sams Town. They had a very good prime rib special hour and now it is closed and opened as a high dollar eatery.
Most of the time for us, a cafe is for breakfast.

    Live update....

Went for dinner last night. No specials of any kind. Dinner menu is 25% of what Courtyard offered, which is a minus. The space is beautiful with lots French Quarter inspiration. Because of the decor, I wish they offered more NOLA inspired dishes than the two or three Creole dishes on the menu. I had the open face turkey and it was delicious, hearty and worth $12.99 but I'm not going to argue over whether it's too expensive. They need to moderate prices by adding specials or having a more rounded out menu.
