I so much wanted to make the fun at this years meet.
I had anticipated and looked forward to meeting and playing with
everyone. We unfortunately spent time in the emergency room during our stay
and proceeded to have a somewhat unexpected diagnosis.
We are still awaiting news from our regular doctor who will hopefully give us
a good report. At this time we are however looking at two very scary scenarios.
Wish we could have participated tho, however I would appreciate a little prayer.
Thanks !
Deb

That is a very unfortunate turn. Sorry we missed you but hope you get some good news.

Thank You. Apparently there is a
"Mass" which the ultasound could not completely diagnose nor the CAT scan.
A High White Blood Count,Extreme pain. The Dr's in Vegas said he could have a
mass of blood vessels, but didn't discount the option of the C word.

At this point we just believe and pray that my DH is ok and just needs antibiotics.
Hugs, D

Sending lots of positive vibes your way!! I hope your DH gets good news and recovers quickly! :blowkiss:

DH refused to go the Emergency Room here at home like the DR suggested in LV.
So instead he has scheduled an appt. with his regular Dr. here in town tomorrow morn.
Still in pain, he does however (as do I)
possesses the belief that this is a misdiagnosis, just a flu bug kind of thing.....
Thanks tho for the good thoughts.
I guess I should appologize for those who anticipated our arrival
at the party and poker game. For that I do say I am Sorry.
We really did want to come and say Hi, Play and be a part of the fun tho...
Deb

Very sorry that something like that prevented you both from partaking in MM. No appoligies are needed and I hope everything turns out for the best for your husband.

Like gmoney said...no apologies are needed.

This is far more important, and as aggie said, there is always next year.

Both of you are in my prayers!!!

We are rediculous degenerates, but we all believe in taking care of your own, first. Your absence is completely understood. See ya next year.

I'd like to say that you didn't miss much but that would be bullshit. :evillaugh Best of thoughts for your husband.

Here's hoping everything works out OK Deb :)

All though we have never met, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your husband. These times are some of the most difficult, as the medical community determines to identify the issue.

My wife is a cancer survivor. We as a family and been were you might be going to experience. Faith, Family and Friends have shown us to be a source of support.

Keep a positive outlook

No apologies necessary Deb! Here's hoping that it is just a flu!:peace:

thanks all for the good wishes, went back today for another more "expanded" type of CAT SCAN and are awaiting the results. DH has moments of no pain and some pain in the lower right hand area of the pelvic area.. he however has no appendix, no gall bladder so we are somewhat baffled...
we are hoping there is no Pancreatic issues although our knowledge of the anatomy is vague. Our Dr's here don't really convey a lot, wish we were in Durham NC.......

Deb--you have the right to ask for more information, to keep asking questions until you understand! The doctors might be confused--it sounds like this is a complicated issue--but keep asking questions. And if you don't know where the pancreas is--Google is your friend:cheers: Good luck:thumbsup:
