Is that a flat fee? Or food and beverage minimum?

Just got back from Monte Carlo and it was $400 minimum F&B for Sunday. Great pool and 6 of us had a bill for $625 with lunch and drinks. It does not seem to take long to ring up a big bill

Jumped on the Groupon for the PH pool, using it this weekend. Normally it's $399 + tax/tip, including a bottle, but the Groupon is $299 and also includes $50 f/b credit.

For some reason I saw the thread headline and I keep seeing Cost of Cannabis, and I don't even smoke. Don't smoke Cannabis, enjoy Cabanas!

    Monte Carlo cabana

The cabanas at the Monte Carlo were $400 (food and beverage purchase) last summer Sunday-Thursday. With beers going for $6-$8, mixed drinks at about $15 each, and food ranging from $8-$20, it isn't difficult for one person to ring up $100 in charges.

A cabana with 4 people can easily hit the $400 minimum food and beverage purchase.

I wasn't aware of this change when I made my initial request for June, but I much prefer it this way. $400 F&B on a Tuesday with 5 people, celebrating a birthday? We'll hit that minimum by noon!

Mirage is also prepay. Imagine my surprise, when i called for a reservation last summer and they told me, 'that will be $1200, what's your CC number? Also, when you book it is non-refundable'.

Yeah, they claim its refundable if the weather isn't good, she said windy, maybe even cloudy?

Id like to see how lenient they are with that policy on the day of. They probably quote weather.com's hourly forecast showing partly sunny and say no refund :)

Just last night, I booked a cabana for Bally's for next Wed. I first asked availability (Bally's are ALWAYS available, lol) and price. Was told, yes, one is available (suprise!) and the price is $199. I then asked if they were doing the same thing as last year, water, pop, juice, floats, etc. "Yes, nothing has changed". I responded "good, I had heard CET properties had changed the way they did cabana rentals". "Nope, same as last year". Okay, please reserve one for me, but I want to be able to charge it to my room when I get there, is that a problem. "No, not at all, how many in your party, and do you want, Vodka, Rum or (can't remember the third choice)?" I laughed and responded "ok then, you have changed things. Is the $199 a flat fee or I have to charge that much?" He explained it was a flat fee, but bottle service was included. I chose vodka, but still don't have a feel for what I will be getting. I guess I will let you know next week what the deal was, lol.

They did not have 'bottle service' last year..or ever. I usually pay a flat fee, get the drinks (water and pop), and then end up ordering buckets of beer, a fruit plate and a cheese plate for the day that I pay for. He did mention I will still get two floats but he wasn't so sure if I got two suntan lotions or not, that has usually been included.

SO SO looking forward to this. I love cabana days! I am staying at the Mirage the first night I get in, so I can hang at their pool the first full day, but since I am by myself the first day and the price of cabanas at Mirage is crazy, I'll just be lounging on a reg chair that day, lol.

Music to my ears for my trip 6/30-7/5. I wonder if they will bump that minimum for July 4th? Can't think that that Monday or Tuesday will be bumped up, but a good run at the tables and it would be nice to relax the day before leaving...
