I got my first badge from my local casino (took 2 days before it showed up online). on my way to the strip in 2 weeks. I'm mostly a tables player. I play a little VP and would dab into some of the new "cool" looking penny games. But if I were to get 25 for someone else, what would you guys suggest to be the most cost effective way of getting 25 TC? which game/denom has a fairly ok return vs coin in? not looking to win but just to get the 25 TC with as little $ input. I'm looking to visit 8-9 of them on the strip in one day and settle on the last casino and play the tables so my ADT doesn't get killed.

i would say triple play jacks or better for .25 a play in other words three lines one coin in.......therefore 75 cents a play

honestly.i just did 5$ slots and im up.its over real quick.
the reasoning is if you hit anythng your getting back 50 $ a win for just bars so it doesnt take much too break even.thats my logic .and its quick and painless

Play some low volatility VP, whichever has the better return between JOB and BP. Play multi line to decrease variance. Basically what charliepeete said, except I would play more than 75 cents per spin. His method will take over 3000 spins to do all 9 Vegas casinos in one day!

By max betting triple play quarters, you could knock it out in 600 spins. Could also do 5 or 10 play for dimes or nickels, or 50 or 100 play for pennies, whatever you're comfortable with per spin.

I alternated between slots and VP. I lost about $25 at most properties but hit two 4OAK's at the Flamingo for +$600 so overall made money. Played JOB and TDB for $1.25. Good luck at have fun.

I agree with @grosx2 ... I just did my quest last night and ended up around $1000... I focused on vp $1 denom.. and find the best games available at each casino at www.vpfree2.com... And at max best 5 coins($5)... It only takes about 20-25 minutes/casino depending how fast you play... It was perfect for me since I got my 25TC and it was enough time for the cw to come around with two rounds of drinks..

I had some good hits and that is why I ended up.. But with out them it would have been around $20/casino loss to get the 25TC, with lots of chances to get a hand pay.. Have to be disciplined to leave right at the 26TC or so mark so its worth the bonus... You stay longer, and your BR might suffer at that denom......

Good luck...

$1k up from the quest?? Nice!!!

Depends on how long you really want to spend doing it. The natural answer is going to be VP, but I'm not sure you're really going to play enough hands to smooth out variance. I did 7 properties all on low-volatility $1 reel slots playing $1 spin and lost $69 on the $875 coin in (about 8%). Took about 2 1/2 hours.

At 6 of the 9 properties, you could just play live poker. Most give 17 TC/hour, but at least Caesars and Rio (2/3 NL game) give 34 TC/hr. Even if you just folded every hand, you'd probably lose $10 at most.

The "guaranteed" way of getting it is to buy $25 worth of stuff at the gift shop . . . . . .

So, basically, by purchasing $25 worth of stuff from the gift shop, you can earn 275 tier credits (25 for purchase and 250 for bonus)? pretty good deal. I never knew you could earn points by spending. Maybe because I've always used my points to pay for everything in CET properties. I know they check ID (or should be) when using points. But do they check ID when earning/purchasing with cash? I've gotten badges at all 9 vegas props and will hitting at least 4 non-vegas CET props before the end of March. Any of you want to give me your cards and $25 for each property to get your badges? lol. jk.

I don't think there was anything in the rules that says the TCs had to come from gaming, so yes, $25 in spend in the gift shop or a restaurant should get you 25 TCs. You just give them your TR card when you make the purchase. I don't remember if they also ask for ID when you're paying cash, probably yes.

Everytime I've used my CET card for purchases in a gift shop they've asked for ID.

Yeah that's is a good way too. Just be careful if the table breaks before the 45 minutes or 1.5 hours the system has a hard time calculating how many you earned at one table and adding with the new table.

So I played at Bally's for 1hr and my game broke. I played in another table and finished my 1/2. Actually played 1 at the second table and tr never recorded my Bally's session. So I went back and did it again

I just found this online and felt it was relevant to the discussion as this could effect tier credit earnings especially close to month end -

"You can earn Tier Credit bonuses based on hospitality spend. However, Tier Credits earned for hospitality spend (dining, entertainment, hotel shopping, spa, and golf) may take up to ten days to post to your account. Tier Credit bonuses will be awarded based on the date the Tier Credits post to the account, not the date of purchaseYou can earn Tier Credit bonuses based on hospitality spend. DaiLun, so any points earned thru spending are credited to the property you spent at? As opposed to the points just being credited to your account in general?

I've always used my RC's at CET properties and rooms are comp'd(Diamond), so actually never spend cash on food and incidentals.. But we will be in Vegas(and Laughlin) next week and, while we may not feel like playing at every property, we'll find something to spend $25(or actually $32 and let the Diamond 20% discount bring it to $25)on to pick up the bonus points at all 9 Vegas properties.

I just want to make sure the spending points are actually credited to the property the cash was spent at.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

AFAIK, each purchase is credited to the casino that you purchased at. I would keep my receipts until the TCs are marked on your badge scorecard. I will be traveling to Laughlin and Phoenix next week and will verify.

Thanks DaiLun!

Ak-Chin is my local casino. Parking is a mess with the construction they are doing. Even valet is slower than usual.

If you're staying there, you might want to ask for a room in the original tower. The newer tower is pretty much right up against some of the construction. And the rooms in the original tower have balconies and patios. The newer tower rooms don't.

You can actually get a decent little meal and dessert ordering off a menu at the Diamond Lounge.

Cola and water are, of course, complimentary. Other drinks are not. But you can get 4 drink tickets at the TR desk. I'm not much of a drinker, but the drink tickets can also be used for virgin cocktails and Red Bull.

We'll be in Laughlin on Monday evening, and Vegas Tuesday and Wednesday.

Good Luck and have a safe trip!
