Cosmo has west tower and east tower. Please match the following places with the corresponding tower:

* registration desk
* marquee nightclub
* momofuku
* beauty & essex
* gym

Do you prefer one tower over the other?

* registration desk = west end
* marquee nightclub = East I think
* momofuku = east tower
* beauty & essex = east tower
* gym ** there are two that I know of:
= west on 14th floor - 5a-8p - larger of the two Also = east on 15th floor - 24 hr

Do you prefer one tower over the other?

Never stayed in East.
Like the West because it's quiet, elevators right next to lobby check in, close to valet and taxi, close to Va Bene for coffee/light snacks, suites have great fountain view (I hear East has great views too), casino isn't huge so it's easy to navigate east/west for dining. Vegas strip exit is Eastside if that matters to you.

Where is the cosmo's parking garage in relation to the west tower? I stayed at Aria last year and it felt like I had to walk 1/2 mile from my parking space in the parking garage to the registration desk.

I think I'm leaning towards the west tower. that will provide the smoothest checkin process and a smooth checkin process is part of vegas mastery :)

There's a bank of elevators near the East Tower elevators that lead to the parking garage.

I prefer the East Tower. Closer to the Strip

ok so the parking situation is equally bad regardless of the tower:

if u stay in west tower:

1. park in garage under east tower
2. walk to west tower to checkin
3. upon checkout walk back to east tower to goto parking garage

if u stay in east tower:

1. park in garage under east tower
2. walk to west tower to checkin
3. walk back to east tower to goto room

however if the goal is smoothest possible *checkin* then west tower has the advantage

I've never used the parking garage(s) at Cosmo but in the West tower there is a bank of elevators marked "parking" very near the guest room elevators. Never used it but always see folks coming and going. Maybe others can say for sure if guest parking is available there.

I just called cosmo and they have underground parking in the west tower as well as the east tower. My reservation is for one of the newly remodeled city studios which are only located in the west tower so looks like I'm all set :)

The parking garage also stretches beneath the west tower. There is a separate elevator for it. Its the elevators closest to the casino

  • Ready for Pool Season
  • What is this "slot tournament" you speak of?
Just styed in the East tower 3 weeks ago, TBO would not stay there again :nono: would insist on the West from now on
The noise from the club was intolerble for me but I am a fairly light sleeper and I'm usually suffering from jet lag so sleep pattern is all over the place :(

thanks cj. do u remember the floor # u were on and the direction it was facing?

lol yes I was on the 69th floor :faint: and could feel the baseline till 4am :goofy:, to clarify this a bit this was New Years Day's evening but as I had arrived just that day I was dead on my feet and desperatly needed sleep so wasnt a happy bunny :grrr:. to clarify further the following evening was still loud but no where near as bad.
BUT after having stayed in the West tower on several visits before there is no comparison in noise levels, in fact I had absolutley no idea about the club, hence my reticance at wanting to stay in the East tower again.
I was facing the West tower 90 degrees around from the fountain view :faint:

I've read a lot of people complain about the club noise, but we've stayed in both towers and never found it to be much of an issue. Actually I thought it was loudest when we were on the NE corner of the West tower, but still not enough to be bothersome.

We generally prefer the east tower due to the proximity to restaurants and the strip, but as mentioned earlier the footprint of the casino isn't that great so its not that big of a deal either way.

We prefer the East tower as it is closer to the strip and has fewer people vying for elevators. We've stayed numerous times on floors between 20-ish and 40-ish and have never had a problem with club noise (and we've stayed on some pretty busy weekends). But, to each his own.

thanks derek. that brings up a good point. are there any particular areas of the west tower I should ask for?

* sounds like the ne corner may be the loudest
* which areas have the best views?
* any other considerations?

also I'm booked for a city studio room which are all in the west tower. the cosmo website sold these rooms at a single uniform rate. that being the case I should try to get a room on the highest floor.

are there any particular strategies I should use for this or should I just call and ask for the highest floor they have available on that date? my reservation isn't for another month.

I've had the opposite experience with the elevators. I've stayed in both the West and East towers at least 5 times each and the East elevators take much longer.

As for noise, I've never noticed it whenever I've stayed there.
