Anybody ever stayed in a Terrace Studio non-fountain view that was in the Chelsea Tower?

I have a comp stay coming up and I only qualified for a Studio, but I did a paid upgrade to a Terrace Suite and got a decent price.

Now I'm not gonna need the suite so I want to downgrade myself to a Studio and save the money.

BUT. I don't wanna end up in the Boulevard Tower facing the party pool. Chelsea's footprint is such that the noise won't be as bad.

I'm having a hard time researching this, their phone queue is bad right now. and I can't find any vids of Studios that aren't either in Boulevard or fountain views in Chelsea. And my floor plans aren't helping.

It seems to me there must be some Studios on that south side of Chelsea, but I can't pin it down, so I figured I'd throw it out here while I keep working on it.

I know there's one Studio on each floor in Boulevard that faces the strip instead of south, but that seems like a longshot to get.

ETA: Emailed Resort Services, see if I get a reply...

ETA2: Resort Services said they do have Studios on the south side of Chelsea.

I think we lucked into a free upgrade on such a studio, the pool was showing the dive in movie Spider-Man last night.

I've stayed in 2 different Terrace Studios in the Chelsea Tower, both facing toward the Aria complex. Those rooms were 2 queens; no idea if they also put king rooms in that section.

I once stayed in a King Terrace Studio in Chelsea Tower facing south toward Aria, about 4 years ago.

That's where I stayed on my only stay at Cosmo. Probably that type of room...it had a Japanese tub in it. King bed. Balcony. I enjoyed the balcony and in the distance, I could watch the planes taking off at the airport. It was Spring and 72 degrees out there sipping a drink watching the planes.

I stayed in a Chelsea studio facing Aria back in May. The sun just really zooms in on those balconies and it burns.

I've never had fountain view in summer to compare the burning hot balconies.

The Japanese soaking tub is in the One Bedroom room type. That's a level higher than the Studio.

Note: Resort Services replied last night and said Studios do exist on the south side of Chelsea.

I forgot to ask about King vs Queen, but I'm OK with a Queen if that's all they have available when I get there.

    Thanks everybody!

I've only stayed in Blvd tower. I had a low floor, Blvd tower terrace studio in April as the pool opened, and even lower floor May. Never heard pool noise inside room... only on terrace. I don't think there were any major events....

I'm in a 1 BR terrace right now - they consider it an upgrade... I think the terrace studio and 1 BR are pretty equivalent... same size. I feel guilty filling a tub with water, so never used at Cosmo.

As I looked at room photos online recently.... as much as I prefer a king bed, I may request a queen studio next trip... I like that the sitting area is by the terrace and windows,.

The only other time I stayed in a Studio it was in Boulevard in the summer, on a low floor during full swing pool time in July, and I remember it being, let's say, louder than I liked even with the sliders shut, although I agree their rooms are good on other noise when the sliders are shut. I'm there for 6 nights and I sleep in the daytime sometimes. Plus the party pool also runs at night on Fri - Sat nights.

I couldn't get a One Bedroom this time around. I like the Studio layout much better though, two main reasons:
    • I don't like the empty space in the middle of the One Bedroom
    • The main outflow for the A/C is in the living room and pointed towards the hallway (ie. away from the bedroom). There's only a tiny outlet in the bedroom. So if you have the bedroom door shut in the summer, the temp in there doesn't come down enough for me.

No one likes the dressing area with bench...
I'm freezing right now in 1-BR bedroom. Just turned down the AC.

One thing I prefer about 1-BR... bathroom much closer for midnight ambles

I always request BLVD tower... much shorter walks to casino, dining, LVB, and shortest hallways of all LV hotels due to tiny footprint.

Then we actually got bumped to that from our terrace studio. First time in the boulevard tower not facing Aria, or the fountains.. Nice change of view. Very close to elevator.

It was interesting that when we checked in at around 6 lines were pretty long, and only one person was at invited guest check in.
It seemed like every check in had to involve a call to someone behind the curtain, which made it pretty slow.
Can’t complain for the no charge bump up from the lovely woman who just got on her shift that took like 20 minutes to log in, then 15 more minutes to get in and get bumped up.
Other lines we saw large groups taking maybe 30 minutes to discuss the difference between 2 br suite or 2 connecting rooms 1 having a terrace.
In good news, declining maid service gave us a $40 FC which we spent on liquids for the room on the way up.

I got it in my non Vegas warmup not TR but loved the new view:

    But for your convenience,

In its not all gravy news,
They couldn’t replace it, he said there weren’t any replacements, just cleaning, but a guy got 8 bucks for working hard steam cleaning and spraying chemicals on it he said would work for 72 hrs…
He asked if I had spilled coffee on it
“I wish I did, we just checked in, that’s disgusting bro and not in a coffee spill pattern. “

@AyDee hopefully they came up quickly to take care of that mess. I’d be pissed!

I had less-than-stellar service experiences a few weeks ago at Cosmo (check-in agent told us our room was in the Chelsea tower when it was actually in the Boulevard tower, had to place several calls - with two no-shows after 45 minute and hour-and-a-half waits in the room - to address an in-room issue, gift card purchase issues at Monogram, and received the wrong check at Beauty and Essex), but I am willing to give them another shot on my next trip in December.

He did the best he could with what he had.
But really, replacement is not an option? Surely there have been worse cases.

He came up pretty fast, along with the maid with extra towels to put over that and the common missing terrace ashtray.
Part of “how to tip out $68, just on the way in to a fully comped room. “. $20 was for the upgrade. The rest was for every single soul we interacted with on the way. The “tipping like a baller” experiment continues, and has not exactly failed.

it was too damn hot to sit out there long anyways, getting up from that couch puts me dangerously close to knocking myself out on the grab bar also, took the corner chair and watched some Spider-Man a little.

oh, also the door was incredibly good at blocking sound when closed from the dive in pool movie and not Circa thumping loud music during the day.

I don't think the guy would buy your story.
I was told by hotel managers (I know quite a few) that most of the room problems reported by guests
were actually caused by the reporting guests. "They always say it's been there before."

I hit my head on that damn bar at least once every trip. Have you really stayed at Cosmo if you don’t acquire one grab bar goose egg?

one room had a curtain rod by the terrace door that got me in the noggin somehow every time. I think I wasn’t cranking it fully left every time, thinking the curtain would help keep the heat out.
