Since this experience was a year old, I suspect it is not the case anymore. I know they got a new VP of marketing. And when he came in my offers went way down. I went from 3 nights, 700 FP, $350 in dining to basically half of that (except for more free nights). My play did not change at all.

If they don't let me just get the freeplay, I will just book the offer and go use it without giving action. I don't care as I don't intend on giving them much more action anymore anyway now that my host at Cosmo is gone. Their expectations for play are waaaaay too high. They don't even start giving airfare until a 50K loss which is absurd, even for the strip.

I just called this number and had no problems booking my two nights. Had the choice if a city room with two queens or a studio terrace.

I just called this number too after seeing your post. Had no problems whatsoever. The CSR showed the offer in my account and made the reservation. Took around 3 minutes. Thanks for the number Evoni.

Glad the number worked out for you two. Good luck on your trips!

StephGrahamKC, the transportation for Cosmo Platinum members should be a limo.

I've gotten transportation from Cosmo before and it's ranged from a limo to a sedan. Make sure before you get into a car Cosmo provides you that you ask the driver if it is a comped ride. I've had two experiences where they told me it was comped and then the driver asked me to pay when we got there. It was a real fiasco where they had to call VIP services and my host.

They outsource their in house cars to AWG or one of those companies I believe. I hate when casinos outsource their transportation as it usually hits your comps as a "hard comp," (at least extra trips not to/from airport) so just be aware.

I was just curious because it seems to be an added feature of platinum. I remember a long time ago they had it, then took it away. We never stayed there so I never used it. Thanks for the help everyone! I will ask about it when I book my rooms.

I spoke with my host regarding the companion nights which she set up for me quite easily. I was told that the gold benefits such as companion nights do not count against my comp bucket and I don't have to cover them when looking for additional comps. She stated the benefits for identity membership are extras and don't have to be earned. I sent her a follow up message and said then instead of using my offer for 3 nights can I use the two nights that come with my room and one comped night on the offer? She was initially confused as to why I wanted to do this and didn't realize two free nights came as a bonus to gold members. I said based on our discussion the gold benefits don't count against me and I would rather earn the the extra comp toward food or spa or something. She is now looking into the whole situation. I ask to many questions looking for a few hundred dollars in free stuff. I however am under the mindset to maximize my comps and my return on gambling as I have donated a lot of money to many casinos and cosmo being one of them. I may be high maintenance but I figure she spends say 3 hours a year on me for two trips. I do provide a small gift when i visit.(75-200) I don't think this is too much to ask her to look into but maybe I am wrong.

Just called and got my husbands 2 nights for platinum plus the 2 companion nights added to the same reservation for a total of 4 nights, then added my 2 nights via mailer, for a total of 6 nights. Took a while as my first call got disconnected and the 2nd person saying we could not add on the companion nights as extra nights. He then checked and went ahead and booked it.

Am I correct in thinking that these 4 nights for being platinum are all up front comps? I know the 2 nights from the mailer are, but it always makes me nervous, LOL.

Anyone notice one of the platinum benefits was $250.00 yearly resort credit? Any luck or info on using this? Asked about the transportation, they said just call the concierge to book.

The way I figure is the nights are tied to the tier and not your gambling level. Someone could attain Gold and Plat by spending and not gambling. It would take about $4000 and if you're paying for a room at the Cosmo it's not hard to hit that level if you come a couple times a year. I have one of my Gold nights booked for later this month along with 2 more nights I was offered in a mailer. I don't feel obligated to gamble at a certain level. If they don't like my play they just won't send me any more offers.

My main question is how are tier expirations handled? Back in Feb I was told my Gold Status will expire in July on the anniversary of the status match I got from MLIFE. In July 2013 I only something like 300 points as I only ate at Wicked Spoon and then maybe put $20 in a slot as I had a flight to catch. In Feb I earned around 8,000 points and hope to earn the remaining 12k later this month. Would my Gold status now be good until Feb 2015 or July 2015? Or let's say I fail to hit 20k later this month and I return in August and get the remaining points. What's my expiration date? Having the common reset date with MLIFE makes this tier thing so much easier.

Every point that you earn counts to your tier for only 1 year. Here's an example: Say you started with 0 points. If you earn 15k points last December, and then 5k points this April, you would get Gold with 20k Points. However, since you're at exactly 20k points, you'll lose Gold as soon as your earliest set of tier points expire. So when this December rolls around, last December's points will stop counting towards your tier, and your tier points will drop from 20k to 5k, moving you down to Sterling. Similarly, you'll only have Sterling until next April, when those points expire.

The exception is if you were tier matched. If you were tier matched, your tier will be valid until one year after the date you were tier matched. After the one year grace period, they'll start looking at the points that are valid towards your tier.

This may have already been answered but can someone explain to me what exactly "complimentary companion free nights" are? I am Platinum FWIW.

I was told that the companion nights could be used along my original comp at no hit against my comp account as they were a free perk of being gold. I have a 3 nght comped stay booked and got an additional room for 2 nights at the same time as me for two nights for a friend and they are paying for the third night which is a sunday.

I see some are using the companion nights to add to there stay. I am just excited as it does not count against my comps. I also asked if I could use my 2 free nights for being gold without it counting against my comps and this really caused some confusion as my host did not know that was an option. I am concerned now that the 2 companion nights may have to be earned and I will be over comped,

Makes sense. I didn't earn any serious points with MLIFE until they started the unified reset date which is really nice and really helps with the confusion.

So if I hit 20k at end of this month I will be Gold until Feb 2015 when the 8,000 I earned rolls off? This is assuming I do not return before then though I will at worst return around New Years. Sterling will be easy for me to maintain. What a hassle for Gold, haha. As long as they keep sending me offers for 2 free nights I won't complain what color my card happens to be.:evillaugh

I'd like to know if they're really status matching other programs. Ever since they announced the new changes a few months ago, the reports from everyone has been no.

Oh well.... I remember trying to find out info on the Cosmo site before my last trip to check out what their offerings were but couldn't find the details at all.
