Stopped in today walking in the door next to the sportsbook. Proceeded to the VP area...sixteen machines...all empty. That didn't seem right so I sat down at a machine (around 5pm). Put Cosmo card in...didn't work which I was prepared for. Put MGM card in...didn't work. Walked to the former Identity Desk...no one in line...that didn't seem right. Walked up to an agent who said the transition happened at 1am and since, no cards worked at Cosmo so no one can earn points. You can guess the answer to the next question, "We don't know." Now the worse part, went up to Hattie's...used my Cosmo gift card which worked, BUT...now with either chicken or tenders, you get one side rather than two. They managed to change the sign, but the price is the same. Brillant marketing move since people can blame the change on MGM. Also...no line at Hatties. Staying at Paris so may walk over there again tomorrow.
This whole thing is a fucking debacle. Can’t room charge our meal at Zuma right now because of “system”issues.” Lord help me

Also checkin even with VIP was a shitshow. Luckily we worked it out but dang man. You guys had years and months to figure this shit out.
Oh so when I went into autograph lounge today, I asked if VIP checkin is now the platinum lounge and they said the autograph lounge is actually the new platinum lounge. They have a little table setup for food and the plan is to have little food available as well as a fridge (I assume for water and soft drinks). All they had were chips when I went earlier. The guy just said to bear with them cuz it’s the first day.
Omg. I’m glad I just stayed in my room and worked all day. I would have been pissed! Another VMBer reported they couldn’t charge their meal to their room. A different VMBer confirmed you can’t earn any points gambling so they went to another MGM property to get their fix. Parking garage—I still used my identity card to get out. Parking attendant thought it might be good for another few days, but he said the machine also accepts mgm cards as well.
Some machines are working now w Tito’s, But many are not, requiring a wait for a handpay in cash for any amount, some don’t take Tito in. MGM cards do seem to work and accrue points. Charge to room failed, after asking and being told it could, waiter was apologetic and took my Cosmo card, saying it would earn points. Idk bout that. Heard from a bartender and a guy that hit his first $1 Royal next to me that safes may have locked up at midnight, possibly for everyone, including folks that had to leave today. That must suck. Can confirm our safe is locked. Chandelier got me a verbena, shoutout Brandylee - no comped vueve, light system gently enforced. Got mine w Red. though HL slots waitress asked p if champagne was ok when she ordered a prosecco. The slot she played TITOed out and the TITO cashed ok. Some machines on the floor don’t take Tito’s, and you can see some slots banks to avoid with the last low handpay showing on the screen. Front desk said people trying to check in were held up into noon and the transfer over time keeps getting pushed. Probably gonna call it a night after this $151 “HP” and enjoy the room. Waits range from 15 min to 45 IOHE. (Hit ABC for supplies, PHO for a bit, then secret Pizza instead) Asking if things might be straightened out by tomorrow, consensus is “no one knows”, one slot attendant seriously said “maybe by next mon or tue. .?" - As in a week. No one knows. last few things, tablet didn’t work, showing “No Guest”, but does control lights, unless you lock up trying guest services. power cycle works. Soaking tub drain plug is broken, but unlike last times fiasco (4 hrs waiting for no effective repair for 48 hrs), sticking it back it sufficed. (last time improvised face towel in plastic bag plug) never could see folio on no guest tablet. fortunately no overcharges I can see.
front desk told me any of your Cosmo card, MGM card, or room key should get you out. Think I’ll try room key first.
Glad I moved my Vegas trip from this week, to the 3rd week in August. I had a feeling. Nothing goes smoothly as it should with this kind of transition. I know it should, but it never does.
When I came back late last night/early morning, it did not take my Cosmo identity card and the parking card sign all say MGM. I was able to get in with my MGM card.
You guys expected this to transition over seamlessly? Casino/hotel is operating 24/7. Gotta be tough for them to switch over a whole system without a hiccup.
I am surprised to see I can get Fountain View Suites fully comped and no resort fees. I still can’t get suites at NoMad though. I’ve done the fountain view before, but it’s a nice option to have. Park will still be my preferred MGM spot because of its larger dining credit and accessibility to Aria / Bellagio / Cosmo.
How are things on the ground in Cosmo? Are they still updating the slot machines so that they can take MGM cards and accept & print TITOs?
We gambled a bit late on Tuesday night and the machines were working with our MGM cards at that time. TITOs worked, all is well there. Still completely wrong on our identity point transition to MGM, so just trying to enjoy the rest of the week and sort it later.
