Looking at the MyVegas comp room calendars that have been posted, it appears possible to reserve a room for some of the MGM casinos that have not yet announced opening dates. I’m wondering if anyone knows what happens if you reserve a future room and the casino is not open by the time of your reservation. Will they just cancel your reservation, or will they move the reservation to a different casino. I’m considering trying to book Mandalay Bay in early July and haven’t heard anything about an opening date there.
Don't think anybody can know, given Vegas has never been shut. I would try contacting support, as I imagine that's the only way you'll get an informed answer.
I’m not sure no one would be able to know this. I know there was a lot of talk on this forum from people who had normal reservations for this week or next week at MGM properties that had not yet reopened, and they generally had their reservations moved to one of the open casinos, though my impression was this was not universal. I’m just wondering if people who used MyVegas comps to book their rooms had the same experience.
Sorry, was late here I meant for people booking casinos that they know are currently closed after the rewards were put back up. I'm not sure if anyone had reservations for June, before they closed everything and removed the rewards.
I've said the same thing elsewhere -- you just really do need to call. We're in uncharted waters. In addition, policies are changing daily, so anything you hear from someone who spoke to them a couple days ago might not be accurate today.
