Can we get a list going of places that still comp drinks for VP without the metered system?
Many of the metered places come out the same - if you are playing. I would think a list with "reasonable" comp would be good as well.
Or are you looking for places where you really do not have to play and still get free drinks?
Clique at Cosmo. I don't really play VP much, so I don't know of any others.
Last I was there Ellis Island didn't for those who venture off strip.
I honestly don't have alot of experience with the metering system. I just don't like the concept and I enjoy being served with the first $20. I'm not looking to skirt the system, but maximize it before it becomes a change of the past.
a good bartender will notice you put in the $20, take your order and slow fill it and come back when the light turns green,
unless you're a NORM like me and they know me and will not charge me when putting down my drink. having a fiver in the cup up front also helps.
Last time i stayed at Mirage a few months ago, the Lobby bar and the large bar outside the sportsbook did not have any metered system
Bellagio bars. MGM Whiskey Down bar. Aria (but a time policy between drinks, 30 minutes if you get a strict bartender). Casino Royale. Mandalay Bay. NYNY. Excalibur. Circus Circus. The STRAT .
I knew if anyone had a list it would be you. Thank you sir.
And nearly every off Strip casino for that matter. A few downtown casinos have meters (Golden Nugget and El Cortez).
When I saw it at the El Cortez I pretty much assumed it had taken over downtown.
El Co had a pretty bad drink scamming problem from what i heard. And the Nugget, well, they just suck.
