Holy crap...is it an optical illusion or are those nachos just drowning in sour cream?!?

(Don’t get me wrong, when I have to go, drowning in sour cream sounds like a damn good way!)

OH trust me, the new nachos are way more modest. This is what they looked like at the old Diablos. Truly a meal for two, WITH left overs :)

Multi, it’s too bad Diablo’s changed their famous nachos, but nice to hear you enjoyed the shredded beef tostadas.

You only have 2 days left to find beef carpaccio equal to Olives?? Uh oh, another trip may be in order.

Have you had a chance to check out Eataly yet? We wandered through there before dinner at Bavette’s and it looked promising, on our list to try something next visit.

Sending good karma and hoping to see mucho good luck on the slots. Visualize, visualize!

One you taste perfection (for what You specifically love) , sometimes it is time to move to a new dish versus replicate... That's how I feel about Olives' beef carpaccio.

Rest of trip *should be* finally hitting the shark tank (they've fascinated me since a little girl), Slots, food, and just walking around.

Hubs was feeling bit tired/run down so it was a nice movie night in the room. But someone is drifting off, so slots soon! (and yes he knows.)

Wish me many pics, as then I'm doing well :)

Thank you Geo, loved the memes

I have no excuse for being so late to this TR, @Multifarious5!
Looks like a lot of fun, save the bag tosser's visit, of course.

    Too late! Here they are...

Lots of ups and downs on the trip. So glad that security was on the ball. My guess is someone saw you leave and was an opportunist rather than a lurker.

As an Olives carpaccio fanatic, I feel your pain. I first had it at the Olives in Atlantis in the bahamas. I wonder if that one closed too. It is so sad that we are missing great food because this dude couldn’t keep his hands to himself.

Hope you end the trip with a handpay!

OMG, my stomach did a flip when I read your post about your purse and suitcases...so happy it turned out well!!!! What an awful, sinking feeling that would have been; I felt it all the way in Canada. Hope you are enjoying your new room as much as the first.

Wow!!! So glad you locked everything worthwhile up!!!

I really never use the safe in Vegas. And when I did for the first time ever last trip. I checked out before remembering to take my winnings out of the safe! Doh!!! At least we were still nearby when I remembered.

I do tend to double check those hotel doors though. They often don't close without a good tug nowadays...

That sucks about the nachos. Hubs and I were looking forward to that being our first meal in Vegas in August (no judgement). I guess now we will have to figure something else out, maybe RI RA. Good luck with the rest of the trip.

OK, apparently 3 martinis in an hour is NOT a good idea---my end to last night. (I don't have them often so forget they hit you.)

Soooooo, I did not feel amazing today for our Luxor buffet, but my vote is, its fine for a meal, and we'd do it again. (and this is with me not enjoying my food that much, so it's probably better when I'm 100%.) it's nowhere near Wicked Spoon, but it doesn't claim to be, and it's $20. 49 pp on a holiday weekend. Not bad.

Don't judge my choices, I felt pretty pookie. The Latin Station was pretty decent (Usually I DON'T like the Latin choices at buffets, but this was decent).

    IMG_20190525_145630096.jpg

I overdid it last night, but it was a mild overdid, so some food and walking had me feeling better in no time.

Hubs and I FINALLY hit the shark tank, and loved it!!!!!!

It's the one tier perk I really like, so it was fun AND free.

I love this guy. He was quite social and kept swimming up! IMG_20190525_163628240.jpg

Hubs always says I'm a reptile because I have no thermostat (hot or cold easily), love meat, and love to nap. So, I was right at home with these guys!
    IMG_20190525_162513939.jpg

    And IMG_20190525_164748989.jpg

    And the sharks!

    And more media-1558833982197-May_25_2019_6_25_PM.jpg

    And another IMG_20190525_165602288.jpg

And finally, we went on a mission to try the inclinator elevators. Like many have said, fun to try once, but not a huge experience, but fun to do!

I will say night and day between the tower hallways and pyramid. I didn't see why people were fussing over Luxor until we hit the pyramid side. I know they'll redo them, but it's like a totally different hotel. If it's not a huge price difference, I'd absolutely suggest the tower side.

We did have fun trolling the pyramid hallway with the open view. (yes, we're five year olds, you need to put us on a leash!)

I wonder where Mandalay will ship all their animals off to when they shut the Shark Reef down.

    Happy birthday to me!
