probably the worst buffet on the Strip.

I would like to hear nominations for a worse buffet?

My father once said that they wouldn't serve that food to condemned prisoners.

Breakfast is fine, it's hard to screw up eggs and bacon. But I beg of you, do not go there for dinner unless it's free, and even then it's questionable.

That said, I'm glad to see things reopening and money being put into renovations. Ruffin is cheap, but he's no dummy.

Of all time? How about the Boardwalk. They priced it at something like $1.99 at times, for dinner.

A quote from TA, still there...."the Surf Buffet at the Boardwalk is one of the WORST buffets in Vegas. Please do not have your wedding reception there"

For a work related trade show trip 4 years ago, I stayed at Circus Circus in a casino tower room, took some colleagues to dinner at The Steak House, and on another night, I used some comp dollars for dinner at the buffet.

I'm pretty open minded and my motto in life is to try everything once, twice if it is good.

If you like plenty of fried food, love carbs, eschew muscle meats, but love ground and formed mystery meats & canned vegetables, by all means, this is your place. Even the Iced Tea was that powdered Lipton garbage.

I'm sure there will be a line to get in.

The old CC buffet used to be twice the size it was right before COVID. However, they walled half of it off, some years ago. Just a supposition on my part, but they may be using the walled off half for their version of a new food court. Now that I come to thing of it, the advertisements for the new food court, appeared to be by the walled off half.

And it never closed. It was open 24 hours a day. Truly a crime against humanity.

    Don't get me started!

One benchmark I use for liking or disliking a buffet is the quality of their steamtable scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Scrambled eggs are incredibly easy to do, even in batches! However, some (make that many) buffets serve insulting rubbery nasty yellow clots!

Yeah, you can make tasty scrambled eggs even with the Sysco egg mix and it's not that difficult. Hint: You do need at least some shortening.

A few buffets do them right. Some do them so-so. Quite a few do a very vile job of it! :(

Don't get me wrong, Circus Circus was my first Vegas experience (I think I was about 10). Somehow didn't repel me from the town. But that was really something.

It's certainly not bad if you're trying to save as much money as possible, or if you're just looking for eggs, bacon, potatoes, and coffee. But if you have more than $30 to your name, you can probably do better. That said, will never begrudge anyone who likes what they like!

Are they making new food or serving what's been on the steam table for fifteen months?

That's a trick question, no one can tell the difference.

    It was my first buffet.
I was traveling with a former co worker and one of his friends and their choice of hotel was CC.
I was only 3 years out of college and 1st job out of school did not pay well.

I know a lot of it is cult, but can it really be that bad? Not everybody likes crab legs, seafood, ‘medium-meats’ (my meat needs to be fully dead, so black),… I went to Aria’s buffet and guess what I ate. Pizza. Mac’n cheese. Bread. Bacon. Eggs. Mashed Potatoes. I think CC will have those as well…

    4th time's a charm?
