Got a mailer today from Circa. 4 nights 12-29 thru 1-2. NYE Gala and dinner 6-9 at Detroit Ball Room. 2 wrist bands for Americas Party. Says contact host for info on free play and or table play.

1-Anyone ever do this? Is it worth the travel? Fighting the crowds?

2- I don’t have a host at any Stevens properties.. I was approached by host in June at the Circa while at the table took his card but never reached out. (Ed) seems weird flyer mentions contact host.

3-anyone else receive this offer or better?

    Thanks for any info

I did an NYE party at the D many years ago. If you don't like crowds, I'd avoid Las Vegas at ALL COSTS.

I can't help you with your questions, but I bet it's a blast! I was in Vegas for a NYE in the early 2000's at Bellagio, right after MGM took it over. My wife and I had a lotta fun. If you go... tell Derek to turn up the music loud and point the speakers over towards the Main Street Station to keep those folks up all night!!!

If I got that offer, I'd go regardless of crowds, and I hate crowds.

Definitely go, especially if you’ve never experienced NYE in Vegas. We stayed at the Golden Nugget, I didn’t get much in comps back then, but got free tickets to the Fremont St concerts, including the Bangles. It was a blast.

Also received this comp room offer and party for NYE from Circa. What's strange is this is the first free room comp offer I've received from Circa. Always been casino rate for the past year and I've even stiffed them the past few months with freeplay and comp food redemptions. Go figure.

After months of limiting comp rooms since they opened, Circa is now comping rooms on the busiest night of the year. Are they that slow? Being the crown jewel of downtown didn't work out as anticipated? I'm asking rhetorical questions, since I have not been there yet.

Circa's a nice place. I like it. It's got a lot going for it. I think at least part of the problem is that there's no real reason to stay there. I think a lot of people aren't willing to pay strip prices for a downtown property, no matter how nice it is. And you can also stay cheaper (or get free comped rooms) at Golden Gate or The D, and get everything that Circa offers, aside from the room. Which is really just access to Stadium Swim.

I play and stay at The D, but I'll drink at Vegas Vickies and eat at Saginaws. Downtown is small, and it's not that far of a walk. Really not that much worse than some of the larger strip resorts. I'm sure there are people who use their free Club One room offers at Golden Gate because it's 30 yards away from Circa. I'd be surprised if room to floor distance from a room at GG to the Circa floor was all that much more than the distance from a Circa room to the casino floor.

There's no reason that I can see why you'd want to pay to stay at Circa, unless it was just to try the place out. Derek's happy to put you up across the canopy for free and still give you run of the house.

Also just got the mailer invite showing 4 nights comp at Circa and gala dinner and party at The D.

One day maybe I'll do NYE in Vegas. Not anytime soon lol

This is EXACTLY what I did on my most recent solo trip to Vegas and it’s what I’m doing again on my next trip. I have 3 comped nights at the Golden Gate, no resort fee plus $100 food and beverage credit and some free play. I do my drinking at prohibition bar and my eating at Saginaws/8 East/Victory Burger. The idea of forking out some of my own money to stay at Circa does not appeal to me in the slightest.

The same situation applies to me. My normal offers are comped rooms for the D and GG and casino rate for the Circa. I was planning on being out there anyway so I have booked a Circa room since it's comped. I agree with others who feel that it isn't worth it to pay for a room there. I'll gladly go back to comped rooms at the D after this experience.

Yes, I hate crowds and I have booked the offer at the Circa. For several years up to and including 2019, I stayed at the FQ on their offer which included an early dinner and a gift. I didn't go out on Fremont St one time on the evening on 12/31. Sometime I would gamble and go up to the room before midnight. One time I stayed in Chicago's Brew Pub and it was great. There were only a few customers since everyone was out on Fremont St. We all briefly wished each other a Happy NY and went back to our business.

That's a plan that works well.
(We like to gamble more at GG than Circa, as well)

    Keep holding the line, everyone,
(felt the same way but lucked into a few comp rooms),
that offer looks promising for next year.

I got the NYE Circa offer too, but with choice of two seating times at Legacy Club or gala and dinner at the D.

Do your offers include the Legacy Club option too? Any opinions on which one is better?
