    This from their website:

At Legacy Club, we encourage our guests to look their finest while they enjoy the breathtaking view from level 60. We ask that gentlemen be in clean and well-maintained closed toe shoes. Swimwear, sandals, ball caps, exceedingly torn or baggy clothing, and sports apparel are not permitted. Admittance to Legacy Club is at the discretion of management.

My standard Vegas attire is shorts, polo shirt and white tennis shoes. I’ve read that others have been turned away based on shoes. Anyone have first hand knowledge of what fails to meet the dress code?

I have heard this will get you turned away and hear the hostesses can be snooty about it. Not first hand experience tho.

I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

They stopped my buddy at the hostess stand downstairs for athletic shoes. As we started to walk away, she whispered "don't tell them I stopped you... nobody will notice" and let us up.

Heard from a Vegas Vickies bartender it was recently relaxed from a hard athletic shoe ban, and yet still same, largely discretionary.
He even called up the bartender up there and confirmed we should get in...
We almost got up there if it weren't for the durned no reservation and private event that was taking up the whole bar area..

jmho, Vegas the way I do it is brutal on my feet, and it's hard to find space in the luggage for dress shoes just to get somewhere without any gambling.
Also they'd lose a lot of young money pushing dress shoes only, fly kicks ain't cheap either..

100%. I used to travel carry-on only, and that bag got heavy and bulky with extra shoes, besides...I usually go to LV for 4 nights, I spend one full day downtown typically; so, I am not likely to head down in the am dressed to the nines, just so later I can go to this place, nor am I likely to go back tot he strip, change and return..talk about a schlep! My daily wear during summer there isn't schlumpy...nice shorts and a polo, never been turned away at any spot looking like that in mid July! so if this place is going to fuss...I'm happy to pass...

just to expound further, I very nearly packed an extra check in bag just to have the shoes to get in, then didn't,
then was relieved my friend didn't either,
then was thrilled when we thought we had the in from his new best buddy bartender,
then was sad when a guy in a suit next to the host stand said he was going to go talk to someone about it, and be right back,
then was disappointed when he didn't show up in 15 minutes,
then was consoled when we met our host back at Vegas Vickies, and after the meetup, she comped off all our drinks and left us an open tab,
then had mixed feelings when we had to leave one drink later to make our 8 east dinner reservations,
before we left we learned they may not even have had the Paradis we wanted to crush anyways,
then felt better with our whiskey tasters and seats in the back room.

All that rollercoaster of Vegas feelings without losing a dime at the tables,

    :thumbsup:Winning!

Legacy is our White Whale now.

Similar topics on dress codes elsewhere have been brought up, the end result is the same. I would maybe call them and ask....

I was almost turned away from a popular Vegas night club for wearing Jordan’s. Bouncer almost didn’t notice as they were clean, new, and matching my outfit which was otherwise proper attire.

Was about to in when he stopped me and said “sorry no Jordans in the club.”

    I said “but they’re nice.”

he said “still against dress code.”

I responded “not even for $20?” And took out a $20 bill.

he took it and said “we’ll you didn’t say anything about $20 before” and let me in

Yes, a call will get the official rules.

But, as we have found out, there are the "official" rules and sometimes reality that is a bit different - which the phone person will not share.
