I hear a lot of positive things on the various Vegas Podcasts, but I've never been there before. After taking a look at a few places for an upcoming Business Trip, I liked the menu a lot. I have a couple of questions:

    1) Is China Poblano good for a small group (around 12 folks)?

    2) Looking at the prices, they looked like small plate pricing? For those of you who have eaten their before, what are the sizes of the portions?

    3) as a follow on to Question 2, if they are small plates, how many items per person should I plan for?

    Thanks in advance!

Great for a small group. I saw several large tables where they could put you when I ate there back in August. It is small plates, I had 3 at lunch. I would estimate that for an adult dinner.

China Poblano is excellent for a small group! Seating I would suggest inside, as the outside "patio" gets a little tight.

The portion size depends on what you order. Their tacos tend to be small, so if you like tacos, I'd plan for 2/person . Their noodle dishes on the other hand tend to be pretty filling and would be enough for 1 person. Their dim sum is small, (potstickers and shumai), but 1 order is good for 2 people to share.

If and when you go, enjoy! I love that place (Jose Andres' other place, Jaleo, is also quite tasty with a great lunch deal).
