Has anyone have any experience with booking a hotel for 2 nights but unable to make it on the first night?
Do they still allow you to check in for the second night even though check in was the day prior?
If they do allow you to, do they still charge you resort fees for the first night when you didn't stay there technically?

In short, I need a room for 1 night but have an offer for 2 nights. Wondering if I can just show up the second night to take advantage of the comp.

My instinct is no, I think they would cancel your reservation if you didn't show up for the first night.

Chances are they will cancel it as a no show.

On the other hand, if you call and say you missed your flight, etc...

Then again, why not make the reservation starting on the night you need it and then just leave early?

Standard hotel practice to cancel your entire reservation on a no-show for the first night.

Just book the 2 days starting with the day you will actually be there. They won't handcuff you to the room for the second night.

Think out of the box, why not just stay 2 nights ?
One more night in Vegas won't hurt (except your wallet, lol).
