Trips to Las Vegas

Drove up to parking north off Tropicana. When you get to entrance to guest parking there is a parking menu. It does offer a 1st day offer for 60 min. free parking. I tried every identity to get recognized by computer. I finally hit help button and got a person who just opened the gate. No ticket came out and they kept telling me to go through, so I did. First security person I saw in parking lot I told what happened, and he just shrugged and said parking was not run by MGM but a company out of Chicago, SP. I went in MGM , keeping it around 40 min. Drove my car to exit and hit help button, some jerk just yelled for to put my ticket in. I said I have no ticket. He comes running up wanting to see my license and I show him. Then he yells how did you get in, and I told him. He got on his speaker and told the cars behind me to back up so I could out of line. I was piffed. So Hit help button and did not let go. So someone comes on and asks my problem. I explain and Dudley Nut Job wants security to come down. The gate goes up and they tell me to exit. What a cluster. Hope they figure it out..

We stayed at Aria in December and had no problem at all. There was always a person there. We were told to put the room key in because it's linked to my gold card. The camera above scans your car plates of the rental so at exit, it sees you have already put your gold card through and the gate opens.

Not blaming the OP - but entering WITHOUT a ticket is always gonna be trouble. Getting a ticket is a MUST for EVERYONE.

Getting out without paying is a separate step. You have to get a ticket. Sorry

You do not have to get a ticket if you have a pearl or gold card. Use your card in the machine you drive up to. Worked for us at Aria, NYNY, and Mandalay Bay.

Yea, but this poster was trying to do the first 60 minutes free. Unless you get a ticket, how in the world will anyone know when you entered to figure out the 60 minutes.

Has anyone had problems getting out of the garage at Mirage? I have mlife gold and it was asking for a ticket to get out. Didn't give me a ticket when going in.

Used pearl card last week at Mirage----smooth in and out----no ticket, just gate up----

Maybe they should have thought about all this stuff before they started charging? But they want that extra money so bad.

These assholes shouldn't have started paid parking in the first place. Now to those that say every other city does, other cities don't have casinos in their hotels. It's almost like paying a fee to enter the casino, which IMHO is a small loss before you place your first bet.

Blue Bell Thunder, I am so on the same page as you. Just returned from Caesars Palace. Was told by my Host the more we justify these charges. As in we still have fun. They will throw a new charge against the wall and see if we pay.

I've been in and out of MB, MGM, MC, and Luxor without many real issues during trips in aug and dec. Never used a ticket, always either mlife card or room key. Room key is definitely easiest. The only hiccup was one day when I was exiting at MB there was a ton of traffic exiting from the magic conference and the person in front of me had trouble and used the help button - they must have raised the bar for them and when I pulled up it raised again for me so I just pulled our - when I came back it said I was already there, but I just used my room key instead of my mlife card and it let me right in.
