Total Rewards has lots of comp nights available - and we haven't stayed at TR resort in years.

So I got three free nights in Tahoe for December at Harvey's and added a fourth night. Now I got an email to check out my Free Vegas nights. Lots of nights available. Hopefully I can use both offers back to back for Vegas and Tahoe. If not I will check out my husband's TR card - he has the same amount of play -- which really has been very very little - we had been sticking to MLIFE - now that MyVegas has tanked out and even though we play a moderate amount at Mlife - our offers have not been great.

I have free nights at all the resorts except Caesar's. I want to add two nights on either before or after Tahoe. My options are better the last two nights. However, knowing my husband as well as I do - if we leave Tahoe for Vegas he will bitch non stop - wondering why we just couldn't stay in Tahoe - blah, blah, blah.

Now that the room rates are basically free - I am waiting for more reasonable flights on Southwest. - I'm not looking forward to 6 -7 hour days traveling due to no direct flights to Reno.

It sounds like what me and another 7* member were discussing just the other day. CET appears to be more content with cultivating the "lower" level player than keeping their higher end customers satisfied.

@vwhiten, this is not meant as a knock on you because you may be a higher level player than me, but CET is about to lose a few 7* players after 2018 if they don't start paying attention to us.

    Also, good for you . . . . !!!

Did you try to see if adding your husband's number as companion for Tahoe would have also gotten the 4th night comped?

I know we get more comped nights when I add my play, small, to my husband's.

No I should check it out. But the 4th night was rather cheap too.

Don't know what's going on with comps. MGM/MLife gets skimpy at times - TR gave me good rates but never a comped room and then their best rates went through the roof.

TR has had nothing for me in years- didn't expect any offers- but will take it. Maybe they are trying to tempt people back.

CET has been like this for a while when it just comes to rooms.

Their room rates in the calendar are dynamic, so it is less 'cultivating' low players, and more preferring to give unsold rooms to low players than dump them for cheap on a travel aggregator. CET has massive room inventory at fairly low end places for the strip.

Yeah I had a run of this last year that I cashed in to the tune of 5 fully comped trips. It seemed I had unlimited free nights. They finally wised up to the fact that I was sleeping in the comped rooms and not playing in their casinos. Now I'm in the dog house with them but hey it was good while it lasted. I didn't pay a dime for a room all year (aside from resort fees) and got to stay in 4 resorts I'd never stayed in before; PH, Paris, Bally's and Caesars this Xmas. Thanks CET!

We also received generous offers from CET....up to five comp nights, depending on the week, on the winter/spring calendar at all LV properties except for NOBU. We do have to pay resort fees. We havn't stayed at a CET property since the Alladin opened, now PH. However we do a great job at losing money everywhere on the strip, Downtown, and all the off Strip casinos/resorts. :)

    I have to add this.

The post is talking about checking OFFERS.

Many folks find even more by just checking the rate calendar. No offers needed.

Do not only look at offers.

Kind of what I meant - It didn't come across as an offer until I pulled up book a room and pulled up the rate calendar and it showed many nights free. - sorry if I wasn't clear. To me getting a room for $0 is an offer - of course there is the resort fee.

I'd love a room in Tahoe!!
Even though we continually get the mailer for 3 free nights in Tahoe..they're always "sold out"...it's because CET hates us, haha...and believe me we've lost a TON of money and play in Tahoe...but they lump Reno in there too, which they consider the "Northern Nevada Market"...we've no played Reno a couple times because their hotel is SO trashy.

I go to LV infrequently, always with my Diamond brother. I give CET play of $100 every month or so in AC just to keep offers coming. Rarely show weekend offers except in true off peak times but always weekdays in at least 4 places.

RE: Those mailers - and "sold out". I assume you also check the rate calendar as well? Do you get at least discounted rates there? (pretty sure they do not sell out unless there is a special event going on)

Check rate calendar also...it shows $300 per night for weekends.
We have a flag on our account to not give rooms in northern Nevada market

I've been watching rates for my fiance and my trip in October... we're getting married!
Normally, I just watch the rates and if they drop, we cancel and rebook. The weird thing is, normally combining my number onto his get us a significant discount. This time, adding companion numbers is having no effect at all! On top of that, no comp nights for once. I can only assume it's because October is a busy month.

That doesn't seem like it would make sense, sense we barely play anything on my own usually and when he's at a Caesars property he always plays the same amount. But *shrug* who knows, maybe you're right.

Don't forget their app as well there are exclusive offers on it that won't show up online until viewed in the app. Usually buffets and TIER credit bonuses things like that.

Yup - checked their app, too. It's surprising because this will be our... seventh? Trip out, and this is the driest offers and discounts have been.

WOW. I'm new to CET as I've been a loyal MLIFER so I don't know what is normal. I am also seeing Sun-Thurs comped at pretty much everywhere except Caesars. Looks like I can even book up to 5 nights. The crazy part is that it looks like I can book up to a year out??? I see comps for September 2018!! Is this how it normally works?

I'm currently Diamond from the upgrade promotion but I'll lose that status January 31 before making it back to Vegas. I'm planning 2 trips next year (May and September) and when I look at dates I see that the resort fees are waived because of the Diamond status. If I book the dates for May now and lose the status before I arrive will they still honor the no resort fees on my reservation? Now if I book dates in May will I be able to go back in and also book dates for Sept? Obviously if I can avoid the resort fees on those 2 trips that is what I'd like to do. The problem is I'm not 100% sure on dates and there is a good chance I'd have to change the reservation after I'm no longer diamond. Can you change reservation dates online or would I have to call and would changing them trigger the resort fees to be added.
