Any suggestions for the cheapest, cleanest, safest room for a Friday night in July? We get in at midnight and are only staying one night. (Heading out of town for Saturday night and booked on the Strip after that.) We really just need a place to crash. I'm finding rooms in the $50 downtown at the Plaza and Golden Gate, but just wondering if anyone has any off-strip ideas that might be even cheaper. Yes, we're really reaching, trying for less than $50 on a Friday, but thought maybe someone would know some magic. Thanks!

Try hotwire, I looked it up for July 11 and there was a room in the Fremont Street area for $31. If anything you can try your luck with one of the other hotels.

Don't forget to factor in resort fees for your calculations.

Have you looked at Silver Sevens? Some of the casinos out on Boulder Highway like Sam's Town and Eastside Cannery and Arizona Charlie's? Just spit balling ideas here.

    Or even a non-casino hotel?

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Kelly

If your friday happens to be July 4th that could make it pretty hard to find any rates cheaper than that

My suggestion is you could check Facebook a little closer to July. Some places like Excalibur and Flamingo will post facebook specials for rooms around $30-35

Get a room downtown and take the WAX from the airport (taking a cab from the airport to downtown is expensive). El Cortez is really cheap, but a few blocks from the rest of the downtown casinos.
