Im going to be staying at Mirage in a few weeks. They have pretty limited dining options so we’d like to hop over to Bellagio for Mayfair or Catch at Aria. Does anyone happen to know if you are able to charge meals at other MGM resorts to your room folio so my host can cover it at check out?

Your host can definitely cover it if you charge to the room as long as you're dining at MGM restaurants.
    Just play enough. ;D

Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. There are a few outlets scattered throughout MGM properties where you can't because they're owned by outside companies, although both Catch and Mayfair qualify. This link allows you to search MGM restaurants where dining credits can be used, and anything on that list you should also be able to charge back to your room for a potential comp.

@ChicagoJeff Yes, either present your card when paying or take your receipt to the Mlife desk afterward.

Don't forget it may trigger a gaming day. Oh nvrm, I forgot you're staying at the Mirage anyways.
Did we ever come to a conclusion that using your Mlife card for parking/dining triggers a single gaming day?

I know with CET they will not comp tips, but not sure if that is the same with mLife. When I charge meals to the room, I always leave cash for the tip because of this.

That is also true for MLife, although not sure why it requires tipping in cash. They can still comp the rest of the meal, and the tips will remain on the bill. May be a personal preference to leave cash, but charging the tips to the room doesn't interfere with the comp process at all.

I understand that, but I prefer to hear "We will take care of all the charges" as opposed to "We can take care of everything but the tips". Just a personal preference.

Personally, I PREFER to take it to the mLife booth and ENSURE that the points are credited.

What properties cover tips? I may not be enough of a High Roller, but in almost 45 years of casino gambling I have ALWAYS needed to pay tips.

None that I know of. But I now pay all of my tips with cash, so there are not any tips on my room charges. That is how I can hear "We will take care of all the charges".

When we are getting 25x points in Vegas, the numbers sometimes get confusing as far as knowing if everything is credited. I have also checked with the MLife desk and also with a host to make sure we got all of the points.

Most (all) places do not cover tips as that is a "hard" expense. That $80 meal does not cost them $80... so less of a hit.

Nobody can say 100% if using points on a non-stay will trigger ADT - so my answer is normally to just not risk it. To each their own.
