Had to cancel a trip next week to the Orleans. Was to be a solo birthday venture, but things got in the way.

Now I have booked a trip to Beau Rivage in Biloxi over the Labor Day weekend. Wife, and BIL/SIL in tow.

The Beau opened their sports book today. First weekend of college football is that weekend, so all is not a loss.

Items for the weekend include Ronnie MiIlsaps concert at the IP, golf at Fallen Oaks, and probably a minor league baseball game at the MGM Park. Go Shuckers!!

Wish I could have pulled Vegas off, but should be a great trip to Biloxi.

I saw on tonight's news that IP opened their sports book today in case you wanted to compare lines. I suspect that most all of the casinos down here will have their books open by the time you get here. They are working furiously on the elevated walkway from the Beau to MGM Park but it won't be finished by Labor Day. You still have to take your chances crossing Hwy 90. Good Luck when you get down here.

Theoretically, everyone, as of the Supreme Court's decision of May of this year.

We were in Biloxi this May when the news came on. I jokingly asked the dealer where the sports book was going to be. He matter of fact-ly said, "Where Coast is now." So all the states and all the casinos knew this was coming down the pipe. Lots of states are ramping up for it. New Jersey was one of the driving forces in the case.

Have you been living under a rock, mang?!? :poke: The Supreme Court ruling was front page news nationally and subsequent news coverage has been pretty high. New Jersey and Delaware were the first states out of the gate to legalize sports betting.

Yes, thanks, got that email today from the IP. Actually thinking about going to the IP next week for a couple of nights to check it out. I’m off the comped room radar, too much Beau. Need to get back on the offers from them.

Noticed the new construction on the walk way in June. Walked with a big crowd to be safe walking across the hwy.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Have done the opposite a few times, Gulf Shores to Biloxi for a few hours and then back.
Actually did go from the Beau to FloraBama and back last summer. BIL’s band was on stage.

OK I've been under a rock.

I know it won't hit TEXAS. Texas won't allow casino or sports gambling. Even though there is more gamblers here the border states will never let us get it on the ballots.

Agree. I think it’s bullshit but the state legislature is missing opportunities.
