******************BEWARE PEOPLE - THIS IS A MISTAKE BY HARRAH'S - SUCH BS!!!**************************

I also received the email from Harrah's marketing dept. (Lisa Yahrling, VP of Total Rewards) on 9/21/2015 saying I was part of a select group of members that would be "gifted" 2,900 Tier Credits. I am currently a Platinum member with 9,226 tier credits. I see this email - get excited, log into my Total Rewards account to find that I now have 12,000+ Tier Credits. Of course this makes me happy knowing that it is very possible to become a Diamond member by end of year.

I login today (10/3/2015) only to find out my tier credits are back down to 9,226.

I immediately call Harrah's Total Rewards customer service (702.946.7000) team and speak to Total Rewards supervisor "Jacob" for him to tell me that their marketing team made an "error" and that they revoked these gifted credits. Complete and utter BS if you ask me!!!

For a multi-billion dollar corporation to make this decision, when it was their error to begin with. I will never again spend a single $.01 in any Harrah's establishment going forward! I asked for Mrs. Yahrling's contact info and/or corporate's info and was referred to submit a stupid online case (which I did) and trust me I am making every effort to scour the internet for Lisa and her team's contact info.

***BEWARE though people***......check your points....call and complain.....write corporate..........blast on social media!! Not cool at all to tease me with a "gift" of xxxx points and then "Whoopsy....we made a marketing error. Sorry Charlie, taking these away from you!"

I saw mine were gone yesterday and wrote to my host to ask why. I was actually booked at Aria for my next trip and just booked one of those pool cabana rooms at Linq yesterday based on the fact that I just needed a few more TC's to get to the next level. This was not a smart move on CET's part to remove the credits.

Wow, just logged in here and saw this. Went online and checked my Tier points and sure enough - bonus GONE! That's the kind of mistake that if shouldn't have been offered - heads should have rolled at CET. HOWEVER, they should have lived with the error, not rescinded it. OMG talk about crappy customer relations.

think about how much money they may have made from people who were closer to the next tier with the bonus and went and played now, but probally wouldnt have otherwise to get to that next level

Mine are still there, but they were completely meaningless in the first place. I am at about 23k because of the bonus, and there is no chance I'm getting to (or trying to get to) 40k, which is the next level. Maybe they only meant to give them to people who were FAR from the next level, and anyone who they actually helped get near a level are having the bonus pulled back?

im the same, they figured it would give you incentive to try to get to 40k they have a ton of tourneys coming and the great gift wrap up out here . that was there logic

I just don't know why they would take them away from others, I have lost my entire bankroll on every trip for 3 straight years. I am a pretty good risk for the casino :) What's a few tier credits to get me back in?

The wording of the initial email that people got is weird as well. 'Because you're let us email you...' or something to that effect. Alot of people are on their email lists. I know I am. Whenever they run things like this (even when not by mistake), I think it pisses alot of people off that don't get them.

I disagree. I gave them my email and i did not receive any bonus. I know 7 others that are in the same boat as me. My guess is that is the same type of bonus given out every year to some, but not all players. In other years they called it a loyalty bonus. I was one of many prople thst were annoyed by this. They should call it what it is. An enticement to get people to play more to get to a higer tier. Calling it a loyalty bonus was insulting to all the loyal CET players who did not receive the bonus.

Totally agree Newmans. They've had my email for years and I remember they asked as well with the promo in Q1 this year. It ticks me off personally that I need to earn the status every year while they incentivize others with free credits, which cost me cold hard cash to get. I personally see it as watering down the benefits for those of us that put in the time to get them. Not to say I'm too offended but I don't like being excluded. I've only used the Diamond lounge once over the last 20 trips probably but now that I've actually used it, I'll go there more often :D .

No, I know that they have been doing the TC bonuses for at least 4 or 5 years. I've never received one.
I'm fairly certain it is just an enticement to push people to try to reach the next level.

Here's an excerpt from the email I got a couple of weeks ago...
"...Because you are part of a select group of members and allow us to email you regularly, we would like to give you a gift of 1,600 Tier Credits.1 We hope that this gift will make reaching 15,000 Tier Credits to achieve Diamond Status for 2016 that much easier so you can enjoy exciting benefits like..." - which is swell.

Here's the thing - I logged in on Saturday afternoon - and those extra tier credits are gone. Just gone!

I'm awaiting a reply from my host to figure out what gives.
