so recently I became CET diamond (tier matching) I really don't play at CET nor planning staying @ diamond
Anyhow, looking thru their website I was able to book (comped) Planet Hollywood ultra hip strip view suite (great score, looking forward to CET suite)
Anyhow, I notice I can also book Caesars during same days as comped as well... does CET allow more than one reservation at different location but same days? Like mlife it has to be 72 hours between stay I'm assuming CET has silmiar rules.

As of now, I have PH ultra hip strip suite booked (comped) 9/23 red weekend. And I want to book at Caesars during same weekend.

Thanks for your input. Also, I would very much appreciate if anyone can give me their review on the room!! Thanks again guys!!

No double booking, and they also enforce the 72 hour rule.

I can't comment on any PH rooms, and at CP I have only stayed at the Augustus Tower rooms, which are roomy, but too much comp expense for me.

It's only 48 hours between offers at CET. And you can't book more than 5 consecutive nights free without 48 hours in between.

So if you wanted to book:
    • Two offers, you need 2 nights in between
    • One offer and one regular availability calendar comp at different hotels, I think you could book them back to back by calling, as long as the total didn't exceed 5 nights. Not sure on this one, I've never seen anybody say they tried it.
    • Two stays at different hotels using regular availability calendar comps - you should be able to do this back to back by calling, as long as the total doesn't exceed 5 nights.
Most of the time, the website doesn't properly account for checkout day. It doesn't count that day as part of the 2-day buffer, and it applies the buffer to all types of reservations, offer or not. So if you're ending a stay on Tuesday, it won't let you start a new one until Friday. But if you call, they'll book you starting Thursday.

The Strip Suite is a nice enough room, it has a much bigger bathroom than most CET rooms. I've never stayed in one, but I don't love the overall layout from pics and videos I've seen. It just doesn't seem to look as big as the supposedly 850 SF would indicate. It's not a separate-bedroom-with-a-door type of suite. I think I would probably take a regular Augustus room at CP over it, but that's just me, you may love it.

you can get a room at both places but not both comped at the same time...they will book it for you then charge you for the one not comped

Drew, I am not a fan of that suite at PHo and would recommend staying at CP instead. I stayed at PHo years ago in a standard room and it was pretty bad. I stayed there again this past March, in the same suite you have booked, thinking the suite would be better than the standard room. It is not.

As stated above, its not a true suite. There is simply a wider option toward the front of the room that includes a sitting area and a TV. There was no mini bar, no separate wall, and the odd configuration (one of the walls curves) did it feel smaller than 850 ft. Additionally, the lighting was very poor. I like rooms with either floor to ceiling windows or lots of available lighting. This suite had neither. As stated, the bathroom is large, but its not nice. The toilet in the closet sits very close to the floor. I don't need a throne, but this toilet felt like it was barely six inches off the floor. The shower was not good. And the bathroom still has fixtures and finishes form the Aladdin days (which is kind of funny). If you're going to stay at PHo, I think its better than the standard room, but CP is still a much better option

Harrahs is my new "home" casino in Las Vegas. Centrally located, lots of food options, a good "middle of the road" casino.

If proximity to the Miracle Mile Shops and Crystals is the priority, I would still stay at CP. If you can get a comped Augustus room, that tower is basically next door to Bellagio. Its actually closer to those shopping areas than any CET resort other than PHo and Paris (Ballys is a little closer to Miracle Mile but CP is closer to Crystals)

I completely missed the fact that you were asking about booking multiple rooms for the same nights.

The website won't let you do that now, because you already have a reservation booked. But it does let you book multiple rooms at the same time when you make the original reservation there's a dropdown for number of rooms.

I'm sure you can do it by calling. Not sure what price you'll get on the 2nd room. I just went through a test process of booking 2 rooms at Rio on a couple of cheap nights and it would only give me one comped and applied their "Semi-Annual Sale" price to the 2nd room. I know my comp value to them is enough to cover 2x the price of a room at Rio, so that's not a great situation.

My rolling offer I get every 2 months also displays a friends & family code, one of the terms is the 2nd room has to overlap with your own stay by at least 1 night. You can't book it online, you have to call, so I don't know what the pricing is like.

I stayed in the PH suite in July. It had a good view of the fountain show from both the bed and the bathroom. As noted by others, the room configuration is a little strange and not a great use of the space, imo. The separate sitting area does making having folks up for a drink more convenient than a standard room, and, depending on how friendly you are, the large circular tub also has space for lounging. If you stay at PH, you definitely want the strip and pool view rooms.

I originally booked 4 nights at Harrah's, not comp but very cheap prices except the last night..a Friday. Then I looked at the calendar and saw PH would be practically the same on weeknights. So I called and had them put me at PH the first two nights and Harrah's the second two. I will use my TR credits anyway so why not spend half the trip nearer the south end and the second half more mid-strip. No problem on the back-to-back nights since they weren't comped. She did ask me the reason I was switching hotels, like I had to justify it!

    Ok, lots to discuss here.

If using calendar comps, you can book up to 5 consecutive nights comp. If it is all at one hotel, you can do it online. To reserve say, one hotel for 2 nights and another for the next three, you need to call in to reservations to make the change (online will not let you book 2 reservations under comp rate within 72 hours).

You can book another reservation to get you past 5 nights, as long as it is 48 hours from the other 5 nights. But again you'd have to call in ... online you can't do it within 72.

Best basic rooms on the non Caesars side would be at PH or Paris. After that probably the Jubilee rooms at Bally's.

I would not expect the PH 'suite' to be BAD. It will just be a weirdly shaped bigger room with a couch. Rooms at Caesars may be nicer, but rooms at other properties are likely to be at best comparable.

Any other factors in your decision? Do you care about casino vibe? Proximity to other amenities? The Pool?

@Nevyn thanks for your reply - while reason we decided to go with PH is fact we are attending Iheart radio concerts weekend and we already have room at mirage one bedroom penthouse and we wanted somewhere opposite street which would be PH, Paris Harrhs side - I would have taken the caesars but since it's right next to Mirage it really didn't make whole lot of sense - since PH connected to miracle mall (wife likes shop) it made sense to go with PH.
I don't really care for PH casino but how is their pool? We might give it try if it's decent. Thanks for your input

If the pool is really important, I'd probably just stay at Caesars.

The only other CET pool that is anything to write home about on the strip is at Flamingo, and that is otherwise not a very good hotel, and is also right across from Caesars.

If you want some distance for variety, I think it comes down to PH or Paris. The rooms at those two are comparable and decent. What is the nicest Paris room you have comp?

Neither has an amazing pool. Paris has a fairly small one which I've been told (I stayed in winter) has issues with shade. But otherwise ok. Planet Hollywood has a pool deck basically over its casino. No view, boring rectangles, not much going on.

Personally I like the casino and dining options a little at Paris. But a room in either place should be fine, if variety/distance is more important than a slight improvement in room quality.

Ahem, IMHO Caesars is adjacent to Mirage, but not "right next door". It's at least a half a mile completely outdoors, lobby to lobby. Depending on the time of year you would be going, 1/2 mile in 100 degree heat is no picnic. You could duck into the entrance of the forum shops and walk through them to get to the hotel/casino, but that almost doubles the distance.

On the other side of the street you have several indoor portions to walk.

And yes, this is coming from someone that "hates" to walk.

Not to quibble too much, but if you walk through the Forum Shops, it's like maybe 150 feet from the Forum Shops to the Mirage walkway. That's always how I get there. The real issue is not making a wrong turn in the Forum Shops the first couple of times you do it, lol.

I agree it's probably not any shorter a total walk, but I don't think it's much longer either.

Yes, you're right. But usually when I stay at CP, I'm in the Augustus tower, which is off Flamingo, which makes it an even LONGER walk.
