After winning the contest, and doing the paperwork....me and my GF took the trip this past weekend, as they forced us to take it the weekend of April 20th-22nd (Which I now completely understand). They let us select our own flights out of Southwest, so we could leave Friday morning and come back Sunday night. 10 points there, as it was about $1000 in airfare.
Got into Planet Hollywood, and was given the additional paperwork for the Rascal Flatts/Brad Paisley concert. Not a big country fan, but the GF loved then so that works for me. We were headed to their big theatre, which hosts the Miss America Pageant and all the other top shows. This was a private show, but hardly sold out. Any "New Total Rewards" signups that weekend could snap tickets, along with probably anyone else playing $25 a hand anywhere. Still, free concert. Good enough.
Got our tickets, which was all pre-arranged seating. Higher your status, better the seats. I landed Section 204, 5th Row for Platinum, dead center. Great seats. Get to the show 30 minutes early and all drinks are FREE.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME. We are not in some 300 seat closet here, there are 5000 people at this show. EVERYONE gets free beer and wine until they drop??? That is absolutely disgusting. BRAVO Caesars.
Rascal Flatts came out first and tore the house completely down for 75 minutes. Paisley came out for their last 2 songs and jammed with them. After that, they did a 20 minute intermission so they could give away ANOTHER 15,000 free beers to the crowd. Paisley then came back out and finished the show for a total run time of just under 3 hours. No encore, which was the big shock. Show ended abruptly.
AMAZING. Mlife, you guys can die in an alley after this. Amazing effort by CET to put on a show that costs a fortune in airline tickets and beer. 10 out of 10 effort, and they bands delivered too.
Wow.
