In the past when I have booked my COMP rooms, I have been offered additional rooms under the F&F rate. I have two additional couples that have expressed interest in coming with on my Sept. trip, so thinking of giving it a shot.

Just curious if it is worth messing with and how deep the discounts are?

I recently booked a trip at Harrah's with the friends and family rate for a business trip, but my colleague was able to get a cheaper rate booking online directly through Harrah's website.

There are several different ways to do this. There are family and friends rates online you can usually check to see prices. If I just need one additional room, I book one, hubbie gets another. when I need more than one, what generally has worked out the best for us, is that I call a host, and she will book the same as I listed above, one for me, one for hubbie, and then get us discounted or casino rates for any other rooms I need. so that is def worth a call.

When I do this, I ask the people who I got rooms for to use my card when they gamble. Since they are usually people who don't usually go to Vegas and don't care so much about future offers, they are happy to oblige.

Another thing, when I have a room booked for someone else, I do of course, add one name to the reservation, but I never allow charging privledges if my cc is associated with the room. If they want to charge things, have them leave their cc number at the desk.

I just realized all the above is when we book rooms together at the same hotel. Sometimes, I have comped rooms at different owned properties, and will get one room at Harrahs for example, and another at Mirage. Close enough but yet still free.
    Have fun!

Currently all of the CET props have that tiered discount depending on how far out you book. Those rates are generally lower than the F&F discount.

I called and asked, its basically $5 off per night on what is on their website at the time, or at least that is what it was in my case for the Flamingo.
