Trips to Las Vegas

Something I've noticed from perusing the CET rate calendar is that I get a lot of comp room offers both in markets where I gamble a lot, and markets I've never been to. However, if I visit a new market on a comp and DON'T gamble much there, my comps dry up in that market specifically.

My question is, if I go a long time without visiting that market again (but do continue gambling in other markets), will I eventually start getting comp rooms in that market again? Or will they continue to hold that one trip against me indefinitely?

I don't know if this specifically addresses your concern.

Apparently, they sit on your record FOREVER.

As an example, I hadn't played at CET (specifically) Harrahs Reno for about 10-15 years. When I started playing again, I didn't have any offers, but pulled up the calendar to see what my rate would be for a weekend, and it was ALL comps.

Yea, my play has increased significantly from my micro-roller status of several years ago at CET and my comps have been relatively the same in Vegas (free weekday rooms at lower tier properties). Because they won't shake my previous play off the system, I am happier just going to higher tier properties and forgoing CET altogether. A shame as I find the lower tier properties of CET to be much much more enjoyable and full of happier people who aren't as snooty. But I go where the comps take me.
