I'll start by stating I know the card has a horrible interest rate to remove those comments from this thread. My question is - has anyone received the 5,000 annual tier bonus yet for this year? I spent $5K on the credit card within the first 3 days of January and have not received the bonus yet. I have already gone thru a billing cycle.
RE; Interest rates. I am not going to say anything about "horrible" interest rates on that card. I just hope nobody is paying ANY interest on any credit card. BUT - you did catch my attention with the 5,000 tier points. We already have 20+ credit cards and we try to only open cards with nice sign up bonuses (SUB). Never considered the MGM or CET cards worth it, but maybe this year as our number of visits have dropped and may not reach Diamond this year off of just play.
In the terms they give themselves 2 billing cycles. I'd interpret that to be 2 cycles AFTER the one in which you earn it. Probably won't take that long, but it might. I thnk they build in a cushion so they have less people play the game of doing the spend, getting the bonus, and then returning shit.
I have some bills that hit at the beginning of the year - instead of paying them by debit, I use the CET credit card cause I easily top the $5K - just to get the 5,000 tier bonus each year. But I pay the card off within days, so I never actually pay interest. I would never hold money on the card cause the interest rates are indeed horrible. But I'm pretty sure I had the bonus by now last year which is why I was questioning. Thx
EXACTLY - we pay NOTHING via debit. Everything is on credit card to earn points or cash back. Then we pay the bill in full each month. Actually, it is set up to auto pay to insure we never pay interest.
