Wow! You get consistent weekend nights comped! I'm at Platinum and often (not always) semi-randomly get Sunday-Thursday at Rio, Flamingo, sometimes Harrah's and Linq. Very seldom weekends.

I also go 8-10 times a year and stay 4-6 nights at a time. I use ALOT of comped nights. If you go less than that you SHOULD have more comps available.

I must say I've never heard anyone suggest that comp room availability is based on number of trips per year.

I haven't noticed any difference between now (3-4 trips per year) vs when I lived in So Cal and went every month or two.

I spoke with Scott and linked this thread. He suspects something is up, but isn't reading much into it yet. Only reason is because we have diamond and 7* with no comps. Haven't checked my messages yet to see if he uncovered anything yet. I don't imagine he will soon.

Well, this Seven Star member has had next to no Vegas comps showing on the calendar all year. This is not a recent aberration. On a May/June trip this year my 1000 TC mother had pretty much every Vegas property comped mid week while my 100,000TC account had nothing. I think it just reflects that CET's system isn't that sophisticated. It hopes for huge potential from somewhat unknown quantities eg $20 coin-in members and cuts off those who it knows are going to bet relatively big for the company systemwide (eg me :soapbox: ) because they don't meet their Vegas metric. I think they are just being too smart for their own good.

@3544quebec , just out of curiosity, what is your adt? How many days on average did you stay at CET to earn a hundred thousand TC? Do you have a host?

The Cet algorithm is little random but yours has to be the most bizarre example I've ever heard. A hundred thousand tier credits is a lot.

To the OP: remember that any tier credits earned from quest for Rewards or bonuses don't count from an adt perspective. I know a lot of people here get excited about free cheer credits, but they have very little value. If they bump you up from Platinum to a diamond, they are basically worth a hundred bucks and that's it.

40 nights Jan - July (Vegas, Tahoe, NOLA, AC, Windsor, Joliet) (not including 8 nights for Seven Star Retreat and Signature event), 138,000 TCs, no idea what my ADT is, have Hosts but tend not to use them as I always seem to have $2000-$3000 in RCs in my account so there seems to be little point to involve a Host, and my past experience with hosts has been somewhat underwhelming

Mine are the same since my trip a few months ago. They went down slightly immediately after the trip. Went from Caesars/Cromwell anytime to just weekdays and some weekends now. Pretty much everything else it's comped anytime. Already booked Paris for April in case something changes.

@3544quebec I know this may sound crazy but, you may actually be creeping in on being overcomped as far as total nights in a year go, especially depending on when your stays are and what room rates are. I believe there is post on a thread here from someone "in the know" that talked about how caesars algorithms would only give you so many nights over a specific period before blocking out comps until it rolled back over. Over 40 nights you are "only" getting on average 3450 TC per day and at least 1000 of that is a bonus (2450 + 1000 bonus) I'm also assuming that none of your TC were obtained from spend, which given your level and RCs is logical. 2450 x 5 is 12250 dollars per night stayed assuming this is all from slots. Figuring a 10% hold as the calculation your ADT is around $1225 which means your comp rate is roughly $400 dollars a day.

Keep in mind that this is probably the highest theo you could have because table games and video poker have much lower holds. Every time you put in a 2500 pt day for the 5000 point or a 5000 pt day for the 10000 pt bonus your theo would be impacted. For instance if you only played to a 2500 pt bonus, then you would have only played 19 days out of 40 to reach your threshold, that brings your ADT down to about 600 bucks a day and to hit the 5k your ADT is down to about 575 a day.

While the bonuses are great, they are a great way to drastically inflate your status while not achieving or maintaining a very high ADT.

Understand completely what you are saying alexm.

Lets assume the extreme and an ADT as low as $600 (my actual losses are close to twice that but go with that for the sake of argument) and a comp rate of 30% giving $180/day.
There are plenty of dates on the calendar where Joe Blow can get a night in Vegas for $45/night or less and that is what CET wants me to pay. People with lower ADT and far less history with Caesars might get those nights comped.
Does that make any sense when they know that they will likely get $600 from me and quite possible will get significantly more - the chance being much higher than getting that amount from someone who has minimal history for them to go by. Instead I spend those nights with MGM (earning me Platinum status with them) and Cosmo (earning Gold with them). That must represent $10000 lost revenue to CET.
Everywhere else in the CET universe I have comps on the calendar pretty much every day for the next 6 months.
If my play is sufficient to get comps everywhere else and to earn Seven Stars for 4 years running when I qualify this year, then surely throwing me comp nights midweek at The Flamingo would make some sort of good business sense even if I was to no play them in Vegas for eternity.

Both Sean & I are Platinum and have always had comp rooms. I only pay for Saturday nights and that is at a good discount ($50 or so). After we came back from Vegas this June I have zero comps. I still have discounted rooms ($23 per night...$70-$90 on weekends) but zero comp nights anywhere. I spent a lot of money there in June. Play was the same as usual. All i can figure is we played more craps and less slots??? And I used about $600 of reward credits toward my bill at checkout. Could that make a difference?

Since June we have been to our local CET casino and also two nights at Horseshoe Southern Indiana. Still no change. I mean if it gets tot he point that a stay at Flamingo is only a few hundred less than Cosmo we might be switching our home base. Sad. Really hoping it changes.

After reading some of your TRs and explained play, I don't think something is up.

While comps do fluctuate, there's some definitives which I can give from my own situation. I'm only Platinum, but that means nothing as I've been Gold and Diamond and my comps have been roughly the same for years. I play blackjack pretty much exclusively, and I'm apparently terribly because I lose often lol. 5 hours a day at $50-100 per hand over three days has generated me the same comps (sometimes it's 7-8 hours near $100 a hand if I'm not losing lol), week day and weekend at most all properties (save for Cromwell and Nobu, occasionally I get Caesars on weekends) for the past 5 years since I started playing in earnest. Now, I most recently played less on my last trip last month, but, I was having too much fun hanging out with gaggles and mb that I ignored playing the first two days. I probably should have listened because the third day I played and blew 3 grand lol.

While my play was less, the loss was heavier (which is why I took a month or so off VMB, but I'm back! :)). While CET does look at each trip, there is clearly somewhat of a holistic approach as my comps haven't diminished. There's clearly a certain level, whether it be for table games, VP or slots that triggers a threshold for comp rooms. That threshold probably is higher now, as stated above, given the impending merger.

Long and short it, your play for a while hit the bottom threshold where comps were activated in all likelihood, but with the pending changes you're not profitable to the casino insofar as getting comp rooms on weekends for 4-5 different properties so that it makes sense to the company. After all, it is a business.

I see a lot of discussion about August issues, below is my calendar for next week. Again, I am FAR from a big player, lower-medium at best:

    upload_2019-8-15_8-54-50.png

Ultimately, I think whatever is the deal is likely here to stay. Frustrating I'm sure but at the end of the day there are options. The point being that if comps are the impetus for heading to Vegas, you have a local near you where you can get your fix in which sounds like something you don't mind doing which will save you a flight to Nevada.

I know for me, if the comps stopped coming for my level of action, then I would stop going. That being said, however, in your case (and I don't know what you are so this is strictly hypothetical) if you're willing to lose say $500 or so, then I think the expectation of getting weekend comp nights at properties on the strip is becoming less of a reality than it may have been in times past.

We should organise a one night only VMB meet-up on Aug 20th for the gamblers that Caesars forgot

This low roller is not complaining after reading this thread, as I have many dates during the week comped till the end of the year, plus a few weekend dates, except for the big three/CP/Cromwell/Nobu.
