Does anyone have a good handle on how CET awards comps in Vegas based on play in other markets?

As background, I am a CET Diamond card holder, largely through poker play, but I most recently got the Diamond card last spring by playing a lot of VP in Atlantic City. This gave me lots of comped rooms, mostly though the regular rate calendar, in Vegas, AC, and lots of markets I've never played in.

I used a few of these offers to take a two-week trip to Vegas last summer, where I played mostly WSOP poker tournaments and cash games in non-CET casinos (i.e. bad stuff for my ADT). As a result, I basically get no comps or even reduced room rates in Vegas anymore, though I still get comp offers in AC and other markets.

My specific question is, if I want to get comp rooms offers again in Vegas, can I do so by playing VP in AC or other markets as I used to do, or can I only get Vegas comps in the future by playing in Vegas?

From what I can tell, everything CET does is based on your "value" to them. The big wizard computer looks at your past play and decides how much they think you will put at risk and what you might drop. From there, it makes offers. They always offer less than what they expect to get from you. For example, if they think someone is going to "drop" $50 a day, they are not going to give them $100 worth of stuff - that would be bad business.

Yea, they will do this for first time players with hopes that the next trip will jump up. But in the end, it is just plain business. Nothing more.

VP is of course better than poker to determine your value. But, even that has a low theo, so it is hard to move the needle.

I have no doubt that VP is better than poker. And I clearly played in enough in Altantic City to "move the needle" for the purpose of comp offers in AC and markets I've never been too.

My question is how much does high ADT play in Atlantic City compensate for low ADT play in Vegas when it comes to getting offers in Vegas? And how recent does the play in AC versus the play in Vegas need to be?

You took them up on free rooms in Vegas and low played them. They fear you will do the same next time. You now have to prove to them with play in Vegas that their offer for free rooms in Vegas will result to you playing in Vegas. Your free rooms are not a reward for previous play but an enticement for play while using the free stay. You burned them once, they won't let you burn them twice. They probably want you to play in Vegas again before giving you free rooms again.

To answer your question, in short it doesn't. Playing high in one location/market doesn't compensate for the other one. Those are 2 separate markets. You may get some general/corporate offers for Vegas for your play at AC but it wouldn't be close to the offers you actually receive at AC for your play. As previous poster stated, you took them up on an offer and low played them. If/when you make another trip to Vegas and provide some play, if I recall correctly, it make take a quarter or few quarters for updated offers to reflect your play.

If you have never played in Vegas and play in another market, CET will use the average from the other market to determine what to give you for Vegas.

But once you have a Vegas play history, that pretty much seems to take precedence and play elsewhere changes nothing.

If you are at host level you might be able to get around that, but if just looking for deals on the site ... you may be sol

you could always play enough VP to make 7* and then you can have unlimited free rooms in any market
