A friend of mine that is headed to vegas this week asked me a question about CET chips (I am the resident Vegas expert amongst my friends), but I did not know the answer. He has some Planet Hollywood chips from his last visit there in march and is staying at Harrahs this time. He asked me if he could just play his PHo chips at Harrahs.

I know mlife accepts chips from its other properties, but I have never tried this at a CET property. So I told him most likely he could play them at Harrahs, but I was not certain. If someone else knows the answer for certain, please let me know. Thanks

I had a similar situation but I had Caesars chips. I had small a handful of greens when I was at Paris and wanted to play three card poker. I asked the dealer if I could play them, she kindly asked for them and quickly exchanged them for Paris chips and put the Caesars chips in the money hole on the table. She said all CET chips can be exchanged at the table if it's a reasonably small amount, otherwise we had to exchange them at the cashier.

I've had same experience as Sam, small amounts can be exchanged at the table. Most I've ever done was $300, but a friend of mine once did $500. More than that probably need to be taken to the cage/cashier.

smaller chips from other CET get played and mixed in all the time, mainly the red $5...now for cash out, I will give you my experience from march...I played and won at harrahs, CP and planet hollywood...i didnt cash out at any place that day.

we were going to go eat at burgr at PH the next day and thats where most of my chips came from. I had 1 $500 chip from harrahs, 1 $500 chip from CP, 6 $500 chips, 13 $100 chips and 3 $25 chips from PH...

I go to the cage and the lady separates them and counts them...then called a manager, asked me for my ID, players card, what day, estimated time that i played at CP and won that chip...they said CP is a different part of the CET company and I had to get authorization. took two phone calls and almost 20 minutes before I signed a paper and got paid

so lesson here is cash your CP chips at CP

When I've taken small chips from another CET casino to a table, they exchange them at the table for chips of the casino I'm at. I've never had an issue at a CET cage cashing chips from another Vegas CET casino, for chips $500 and smaller. They do separate the chips to each casino, but have always cashed them immediately.... no questions asked, no paperwork.

In the past you could play with any major casinos chips (didn't have to be the same owner - so you could play with Green Valley Ranch chips at the M, etc.).

Thanks everybody. I'm pretty certain my friend has red and maybe a few green chips. I will pass on the info
