I'm going to be in Vegas 10/26-10/30. My Dad is going to be getting their the day before me on 10/25. I went ahead and booked a room reservation from 10/25 - 10/30 under my total rewards offers. Will it cause a problem with him checking in the day before me without me present? Also - we have the same name (I'm a Jr.) I'm thinking the front desk might not even click to it. I'm not even sure if this is an issue or something they enforce anyway. Any experience with this?

Thanks!

If you book a room with your offers, you must be present at check in to get the deals.
I've booked rooms, and arrived after another party checked in, but I still had to go to the front desk and verify that I was indeed present.
Also if you combine TR #'s for a reservation, all parties need to be checked in and their names place on the room.
In your situation, with you and your dad sharing the same name, I would bet that things would be fine.

Let us know how this turns out I think you will have a hard time, I hope not but if they check you might be in for a big bill or no room.

If it is a "comped" room, this will not work as they do check id and it must match the name on total rewards card. Having said that, you may be able to do this - You call the resort and tell them your situation, and ask what your options are, the reality is, you should book the first night for your dad under the friends and family rate, and your reservation should start the day you arrive.

Years ago, the front desk commented about my age during check in so they can see that in their computer. If you're a Jr, I think it should be fine if they don't look into details like your age on file vs your dad's look. For combined TR #s, I tried it like 3 times the last few years and they never ask for my companion's physical presence during check in (coming in a day later). We're both diamond though but my friend is a bigger player and I booked a better room that otherwise won't be totally comped.

Policy is that only the person that is comped can check in. In fact, when I use both our names and TR number to get a better rate, they required we BOTH show our ID.

With that said, sometimes, if your host is good and your play is strong, you might get an exception.

And, maybe, you can risk it if they do not check the age. I am guessing that both the address and age on the ID will not match. Risky business.
