My mother in law will soon be visiting Vegas and I have arranged for her to use a Scooter during her trip. Her mobility is pretty good, but Vegas walking will take its toll, so I thought it was best to have it available just to keep her from overdoing it.

My question is, what is the usual protocol when you are dining or seeing a show when you don't need to use it? I know taking the key out is very important, but are we supposed to do certain things when we leave it unattended for longer periods of time?

Thanks for you advice.

Mostly will depend on the venue. Whether its a show or a restaurant what have you some will let you take the scooter to your seat others will ask you to park it out of the way. I have to use one at times out there if they ask to park i go to my seat and then my girlfriend will take it and park it since i cant walk without my walker. And yes as you said important to take the key out but also be aware that the keys are generally universal. So try to park it in a spot where you can keep an eye on it.

Be aware that the keys for most scooters are universal.
Anyone may/can access an unattended scooter.
When I rented one for my sister, I was advised to get the insurance to protect myself.

I did purchase the insurance because it was only $5 a day... I'm guessing scooter thefts must not be rampant in Vegas otherwise there would be more attention on it... The key thing is a bit strange, universal keys? What could possibly go wrong?

When Ann broke her hip, Morimoto seated her, removed the wheel chair, and brought it back to the table when finished.

Both Bugsy and Meyer (at Flamingo) and the theater at Resorts World let my wife scoot to the table/seat, and then staff took the scooter (and charged it) until it was time to leave when they returned it to us.
