Any time. Just hunt me down!
Now that we're here in PS, we visited the Agua Caliente Spa Casino tonight. Hanging in there on an Asian themed slot with my original Jackson, I eventually cashed out even. I moved to the bar to play 7/5 BP (98%?) .... from the original Jackson, getting down to about 2 hands left, I was dealt 3 aces and cashed the 4th for a $100 win. I played on for about 20 minutes without losing any of it, and kept my win before heading to downtown for dinner.
Our friend, playing $0.40 bets on a Mexican themed slot, won $55 so she was happy.
We weren't drawn for the 7 pm "Windstorm of cash" drawing. The woman who was couldn't figure out how to grab the flying around cash at first, but managed to snag $2450 in the end.
@M_ILIS - we played Santa Rosa at Mountain Vista on Thursday. Part of a 36 hole complex at the Del Webb Sun City community north of the freeway in Palm Desert. Both courses are very nice, impeccably groomed and very friendly (generous fairways, sloping in from the sides/away from the homes).
Walk in rate is north of $90, but deals can be found. Thursdays seem to be an 11:00 shotgun. Golf Now had our two spots on for $50.
Highly recommended for its quality and beautiful patio.
I guess a royal would be like a hole in one in golf, or so, but four aces look great. Great to see you do the gambling side of your avatar.
I have far more RFs than aces!
Agua Caliente Spa Casino, round two. While the others went to the outlets, I wandered back to the local PS casino (25 minute walk). Holding my own on BP (on the same machine I won on last time), I switched to BP DLX, but got tired of the one coin for two pair win.
Inspired by Matt Bridger's Vlogs, where he loves to play Harley Davidson, I sat one. Debating between 80 centgs and $1.60, I finally chose the former. A few spins I hit Bonus/Bonus/no Bonus .... what's this, the machine is making noise. Lurking in the bottom right corner is "Mega". Looking up, I see it's 60 free spins at 3x. Thats a good 'Bonus'!
Nothing major to report, it settled on a $75.60 win in the end .... still, an almost 100x the bet win is pretty good. After a few spins (a couple more "bonus/bonus/nothing), I cashed out. We'll be back Friday night for their "Cyclone of Cash", before leaving for home the next morning.

Last Oct we went to PS for our first time. At one place we stayed I was able to walk to the Spa Resort casino. We also drove out to the Aqua Caliente. Walked away with a $200.00 win from a Buffalo slot. Played mostly at the smaller casino in town. Played everyday and finished up even.
The first couple of nights we stayed at a place on E Tahquitz Canyon Way and every time we drove by Sherman's Deli it was packed so one night we tried it. It was unbelievable ! It was so good we went back another night. It was featured on the Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.
And good to know PS is only 4 hours from Las Vegas because I want to go back again for a visit. As we were flying in I noticed all of the golf courses. Perfect weather for golfing.
Good Luck on getting tickets for the Cyclone of Cash !
Thanks, @Char in Seattle - yes, most restaurants at this end are crazy busy, especially at dinner. I've seen the lines at Sherman's.
It's nice to be able to walk to the casino in town. The other one is a half hour drive. It's too bad they don't comp drinks, although a large beer for $3.75 isn't bad. Great service from all the employees at the Spa Casino, too.
You'll hear from me if I happen to be drawn for the Cyclone of Cash!
Sherman's is a fixture. 50+ years old now. The valley is a great place to vacation. Hell, the Cahuilla have known that for eons, the first snowbirds. lol
Loved walking around town for dinner, and to the museums, and if you are around on Thursday nights they have the arts and crafts set up in the streets. So much fun I want to go back again next year. And the air museum was a big hit with our group.
I had read some bad reviews on the Spa casino but I found it to be nice and clean and I won there so that helped. I only signed up for the rewards card because the machine I was playing on had a chance to win a car but only if you were using their reward card. Now I'm getting 2 free night offers. Wished I lived closer !
All of my vacation pictures disappeared from my phone a couple of weeks after I got home and now I feel cheated and want to go back for a redo. It is a perfect place for a vacation ! Perfect weather, easy to get around, lots to do and great restaurants.
Sorry to hear about the photos. Not that you need an excuse to return, but there you have it!!
If you ever want some input on the valley, send me a PM. I've been going there 50-some years. There's no place on the planet not called home where we've spent more nights and days. And it is fitting that the first article published after I decided to take up writing as my adult-onset career now 17 years ago was about Coachella Valley golf.
And we're looking forward to getting up your direction in June!!
GG - if you feel like playing something different I played a Stinkin Rich machine and it was like my own personal ATM. And I only could find the one.
Thanks Ken for the offer on input on PS. I will PM you sometime in future for info. And as for your trip out here in June ... hope it stops raining
I like Agua Caliente. Fair-ish games and pretty friendly folks.
